GIRLS TENNIS: Nelson takes two singles sets, helps Bengals top Spartans

Emma Nelson went 2-0 in singles Tuesday to help Bonanza’s girls tennis team to a 13-5 win over visiting Cimarron-Memorial.
Kim Pace and Kayla Sylvester went 2-0 in doubles for the Bengals.
Centennial 10, Desert Oasis 9 — At Centennial, Michella Albright and Danielle Mortensen each went 3-0 in singles to help the Bulldogs defeat the Diamondbacks.
The teams split their 18 regulation sets, and each won three of the six tiebreaker games, but Centennial outscored Desert Oasis, 35-31 in the tiebreakers to grab the victory.
Virgin Valley 10, Tech 3 — At Tech, Kaycee Anderson and Emily Andreola each went 2-0 in singles as the Bulldogs defeated the Roadrunners.
Eldorado 14, Las Vegas 4 — At Las Vegas, the Sundevils downed the Wildcats.
Geovanna Hilton was 3-0 in singles for Las Vegas.
Faith Lutheran 18, Mojave 0 — At Darling Tennis Center, Vanessa Lee and Jayden Mattson each went 2-0 in singles as the Crusaders blanked the Rattlers.
The doubles teams of Rachel Taber and Chandler Young, Kristina Berg and Talia Graf, and Alexis Berg and Taylor Werschey each went 2-0 for Faith Lutheran.
Boulder City 12, Desert Pines 6 — At Boulder City, Sariah Gneiting and Alexis LeMaster went 3-0 in doubles to help lift the Eagles over the Jaguars.
Bishop Gorman 12, Legacy 0 — At Gorman, Julia MacDonald was 2-0 in singles as the Gaels blanked the Longhorns in a match shortened by rain.
Chaparral 16, Sunrise Mountain 2 — At Chaparral, the Cowboys rolled past the Miners.
The Meadows 12, Western 0 — At The Meadows, the Mustangs won by forfeit.
Rained Out
Adelson School’s match at Cheyenne was postponed beause of rain. A make-up date has not been announced.
The Canyon Springs at Del Sol match was halted by rain after the first round and will not be made up.
