ROUNDUP: Bonanza girls edge past Eldorado

Alison Matlovic and Erika Smith each went 3-0 in singles to lead Bonanza’s girls tennis team to a 10-8 victory at Eldorado on Friday.
Isabella Minoli and Emily Ruskowitz were 3-0 in doubles for the Bengals, and Eldorado twosome of Allyssa Gabrillo and Maria Gunalao was 2-1.
Spring Valley 15, Cheyenne 3 — At Cheyenne, singles player Tiffany Tavares went 3-0, as did the doubles team of Michelle Chung and Vicky Ma, as Spring Valley defeated Cheyenne.
Bishop Gorman 13, Canyon Springs 5 — At Canyon Springs, three doubles teams each went 2-0 to lead the Gaels past the Pioneers.
Gorman’s doubles teams were Taylor LaRoe and Blair Bigelow, Caroline Engs and Amanda Silvestri, and Polly Kulla and Michelle Shoen. Sarah Bessen was 2-1 in singles.
Rebecca Breland went 3-0 in singles for the Pioneers.

Silverado 13, Valley 5 —
At Silverado, Katie Barker and Lindsey Fullerton were 2-0 in doubles as the Skyhawks stopped Valley.
Desert Oasis 15, Mojave 3 — At Mojave, Jaynie Connor went 3-0 in doubles to help Desert Oasis defeat the Rattlers.
Francheska Roman and December Esslinger were 2-0 in doubles for the Diamondbacks.
Mojave’s Kristen Bachman and Nicole Santiwan were 3-0 in doubles.
 
Shadow Ridge 10, Durango 9 — At Shadow Ridge, the host Mustangs won a tiebreaker on points, 36-27.
Durango singles player Josie Dean was 3-0, as were the doubles teams of Claire Melo and Jamie Dean, and Andrea Melo and Alyse Kurley.
Clark 10, Centennial 8 — At Clark, Heidi Lim and Ji-Hye Lee were 3-0 in doubles as the Chargers nipped Centennial.
Natasha James and Madeline Pasimio each went 2-0 in singles for Clark.
Centennial’s Morgan Johnson and Camille Castro were 2-0 in doubles.
Basic 10, Las Vegas 9 — At Basic, Adrian Brown and Marissa Ross were 3-0 in doubles, and the Wolves won a tiebreaker to down Las Vegas.
Michelle Petty and Jenilee Medina were 2-0 in doubles for the Wolves.
Las Vegas’ Val Shively and Danica Ingstrom each went 3-0 in singles.
Green Valley 15, Arbor View 3 — At Arbor View, Alyssa Boman went 3-0 in singles to help the Gators beat the Aggies.
In doubles, Green Valley’s Daron Willer and Dana Schwartz went 2-0, as did Kelsey Barto and Serena Michalsky.
Boulder City 10, Rancho 8 — At Boulder City, the Eagles edged Rancho.
Moapa Valley 18, Legacy 0 — At Overton, the Pirates won by forfeit when Legacy couldn’t field the minimum six players.

The Meadows boys tennis team won the Class 4A state title Friday in Reno. The Boulder City boys and girls lost to Northern teams in the 3A title matches.
