Roundup: Centennial edges Bonanza on tiebreaker

Centennial’s girls tennis team won four of six tiebreakers to edge host Bonanza 10-9 on Monday.

The Bulldogs swept the doubles sets with the teams of Giselle Leyva and Lauren Rowe, Hannah Robinson and Lainey Waldman, and Natasha Lasrence and Samantha Lawrence each going 3-0.

Georgi Thwaits, Kelsey Spence and Rachel Wurmbrand each went 3-0 in singles for the Bengals.

Spring Valley 10, Liberty 9 — At Liberty, Seda Sargsyan went 3-0 in singles as Spring Valley won via tiebreaker.

The Grizzles won 32-30 in tiebreaker points.

Alexis Jackson and Jaslyn Yap went 3-0 in doubles for Liberty.

Eldorado 10, Virgin Valley 9 — At Eldorado, Devyn Swain finished 3-0 in singles as the Sundevils defeated the Bulldogs in a tiebreaker.

Eldorado’s doubles teams of Sthephany Aguirre and Brianna Davis, and Lleni Garcia and Jacquelyn Gamboa each finished 2-1 in doubles.

Bishop Gorman 11, Sierra Vista 7 — At Sierra Vista, the doubles teams of Julia Johnson and Courtney Wolfson, and Olivia Balelo and Madison Winston both went 2-0 as the Gaels beat the Mountain Lions.

Angelique Friedrich was 2-1 in singles for Gorman.

Ariana Stanciu went 3-0 in singles to lead Sierra Vista. Andrada Stanciu and Claudia Murdasanu each went 2-1 in singles for the Mountain Lions.

Desert Oasis 12, Durango 6 — At Durango, a pair of doubles teams went 3-0 to help the Diamondbacks over the Trailblazers.

Desert Oasis’ Karina and Natalia Damian went 3-0 in doubles, as did teammates McKenna DeMarce and Rachel Roshak.

Breanna Bui went 3-0 in singles for Durango.

Moapa Valley 15, Del Sol 3 — At Overton, Aubrey Aikele and Amber Ables each went 3-0 in singles as the Pirates downed the Dragons.

Averee Widdison and Maliyah Totten went 2-1 in doubles for Moapa Valley.

Del Sol’s Angel Hodges and KatieRae Patriquin were 2-1 in doubles.

Silverado 14, Valley 4 — At Silverado, Kathryn Carder and Morgan Seiler finished 2-1 in doubles as the Skyhawks defeated the Vikings.

Valley’s Claire Angel and Alexandra Jianu finished 3-0 in doubles.

Clark 14, Basic 4 — At Clark, Esther Yi went 3-0 in singles to lead the Chargers over the Wolves.

Foothill 13, Tech 5 — At Foothill, Caitlyn Cooks and Kristel Peralta each went 2-0 in singles as the Falcons grounded the Roadrunners.

Coronado 17, Green Valley 1 — At Coronado, Sidney Osburn went 3-0 in singles to lead the Cougars over the Gators.

Sophia Potamitis and Rayne Hayes were 2-0 in doubles for Coronado.

Sofia Alfarez, Sidra Wohlwend and Ava Nhaisi rotated and won three doubles sets.

Boulder City 12, Mojave 0 — At Boulder City, the Eagles won by forfeit over the Rattlers.

Rancho 12, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Rancho, the Rams defeated the Miners via forfeit.

Faith Lutheran 12, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, the Crusaders beat the Desert Shields by forfeit.

Chaparral 12, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Chaparral, the Cowboys won via forfeit against the Trojans.

Desert Pines 12, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, the Jaguars defeated the Pioneers via forfeit.

Shadow Ridge vs. Arbor View — At Arbor View, the match between the Mustangs and Aggies was suspended because of darkness.

Shadow Ridge led 8-6.
