ROUNDUP: Doubles sweep leads Gators into first-place tie

Green Valley’s girls swept all nine doubles matches Thursday to top previously-unbeaten Silverado, 11-7 and join a three-way tie for first place in the Southeast League.

The doubles teams of Daniel Efargan and Kayla Thomas, Sarah Trigero and Kesley Barto, and Narisa Montero and Gabby Friday each went 3-0 for the Gators, who tied Coronado and Green Valley for first place in the league.

Coronado earned the league’s No. 1 seed for the playoffs, followed by Green Valley and Silverado.
Nicole Santero went 2-0 in singles for the Skyhawks.

Basic 10, Liberty 9 — At Basic, the Wolves clinched a playoff berth, defeating the Patriots in a tiebreaker 4-2.

Megan Feher and Jenilee Medina went 3-0 in doubles for Basic.

Danae Ingwaldson was 3-0 in singles play for Liberty.

Coronado 15, Tech 3 — At Tech, the doubles teams of Casey Thevenot and Paige Nisson, and Natalie Shibrowsky and Marian Gapultos each went 2-0 to help the Cougars top the Roadrunners.

Paige Johannessen and Madison Mathis each went 1-0 in singles for Coronado.

Del Sol 10, Foothill 8 — At Del Sol, the Dragons edged the Falcons.

Valley 10, Chaparral 9 — At Chaparral, the Vikings downed the Cowboys in a tiebreaker, 4-2.
The doubles teams of Jenna Beaudry and Angel Ordiway, and Gina Delgado and Acamy Menson each went 3-0 to lead Valley.
Kelley Terry and Kiara Miller each went 3-0 in singles for Chaparral.

Eldorado 12, Moapa Valley 6 — At Overton, Rochelle Casino was 3-0 in singles to lead the Sundevils past the Pirates.
Christina Herrera was 2-0 in singles for Eldorado.
Moapa Valley’s Erin Williams and Sonya Huerta were 2-1 in doubles, as was the team of Chelsi Edwards and Cassidy Whitmore.

Las Vegas 17, Desert Pines 1 — At Desert Pines, Danica Engstrom and Gianna Lopresti each went 3-0 in singles to lead the Wildcats over the Jaguars.

Cami Fish teamed with Alyssa D’Agostino to go 3-0 in doubles for Las Vegas.

Canyon Springs 17, Rancho 1 — At Canyon Springs, Rebecca Breland, Joy Jones and Christian Earl each went 3-0 in singles play as the Pioneers routed the Rams.
The doubles teams of Stephanie Girlaldo and Galena Krol, and Alecsandria Cook and Cindy Burdasch both went 3-0.

Spring Valley 13, Desert Oasis 5 — At Spring Valley, Sierra Weyer was 2-0 in singles and Sarah Johnson went 2-1 to lead the Grizzlies over the Diamondbacks.

Danica Ingwaldson went 3-0 in singles for Desert Oasis.

Bonanza 17, Western 1 — At Bonanza, the Bengals routed the Warriors.
Ericka Smith won her lone singles set to help Bonanza.

Bishop Gorman 12, Durango 6 — At Darling Tennis Center, Anita Lee and Sarah Bessen each went 2-0 in singles as the Gaels defeated the Trailblazers.
Josie Dean was 2-1 in singles to lead Durango.

Clark 14, Sierra Vista 4 — At Sierra Vista, Natasha James went 2-0 in singles play to lead the Chargers over the Mountain Lions.

Shadow Ridge 10, Cheyenne 8 — At Cheyenne, the Mustangs edged the Desert Shields.
Unique Hawkins was 3-0 in singles for Cheyenne.

Faith Lutheran 12, Centennial 6 — At Centennial, Olivia Demarta went 3-0 in singles to lead the Crusaders past the Bulldogs.
Angela DiPasquale and Nikki Pizzoferrato each went 2-0 in singles play for Faith Lutheran.

Hannah Barnum was 2-0 in singles for Centennial. The doubles teams of Dani Tiecenik and Emily Maurer, and Daryn Frischknecht and Jordan Sgro each went 2-0 for the Bulldogs.

Cimarron-Memorial 14, Legacy 4 — At Cimarron, Kate Johnesee went 3-0 in singles as the Spartans downed the Longhorns.
Kelly Anderson and Courtney Triggs went 3-0 in doubles for the Spartans.

Cimarron’s Solena Mednicoff and Stephanie Kaplan were 2-0 in doubles. Jeanette Salls and Natasha Tocco were 1-0 in doubles, and Starlyn Thomas was 2-1 in singles for the Spartans.

Brianna Watkins was 2-1 in singles for the Longhorns.

Arbor View 17, Mojave 1 — At Arbor View, Taylor Savage and Lacey Olson each went 3-0 in singles as the Aggies downed the Rattlers.

The doubles teams of Alexis Bridges and Beth Ignatiuk, and Taylor Bland and Ta’Keyrah Reid went 3-0 for Arbor View.

Palo Verde 14, The Meadows 4 — At The Meadows, Sarah Alamshaw and Maia Bernick each went 3-0 in singles as the Panthers downed the Mustangs to finish undefeated in Northwest League play.
