ROUNDUP: Doubles teams propel Wildcat girls past Pioneers

The doubles teams of Justine Rosales and Erika Berner, and Layla Baratin and Arlena Phomsouvandara both went 3-0 Thursday to lead Las Vegas High’s girls tennis team to a 13-5 win at Canyon Springs.

Amy Davis and Geovanna Hilton each went 2-1 in singles for the Wildcats.

Ma’Jhanae Thomas was 3-0 in singles for the Pioneers.

Liberty 10, Basic 8 — At Basic, Sina Gebrai went 3-0 in singles to lead the Patriots past the Wolves.

Paula Ramirez was 2-1 in singles for Basic.

Silverado 10, Valley 9 — At Silverado, Katie Barker was 3-0 in singles, and the Skyhawks won five of the six tiebreaker games to nip the Vikings.

Palo Verde 15, Shadow Ridge 3 — At Shadow Ridge, Abby Till and Shannon Dean went 2-0 in doubles as the Panthers downed the Mustangs.

Tiffany Newell was 2-0 in singles for Palo Verde.

Foothill 11, Eldorado 7 — At Foothill, Madison Pike went 3-0 in singles for the Falcons as they beat the Sundevils.

Eldorado’s doubles teams of Yoli Carrillo and Dora Carrillo, and Jasmine Sanchez and Kerrigan Holman both went 3-0.

Green Valley 15, Rancho 3 — At Rancho, Josie Legarza and Raquel Holder each went 3-0 in singles as the Gators topped the Rams.

Erica Shelton was 2-0 in singles, and the doubles team of Sydney Crosby and Paola Davila went 2-0 for Green Valley.

Faith Lutheran 16, Adelson School 0 — At Darling Tennis Center, Vanessa Lee and Kathleen Wright each went 2-0 in singles to lead the Crusaders past the Lions.

The doubles teams of Alexis Smith and Kristina Berg, and Rachel Taber and Chandler Young each went 2-0 for Faith Lutheran.

Coronado 12, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, the Cougars won by forfeit.

Arbor View at Durango — The match between the Aggies and the Trailblazers was postponed due to rain. A makeup date has not been finalized.

Green Valley 12, Rancho 6 — At Rancho, Aditya Ingle and Isaac Wellish each went 2-1 in singles play to power the Gators past the Rams.

Rohan Gupte finished 2-1 in singles to lead Rancho.

Valley 15, Silverado 3 — At Silverado, David Delaney and Brandon Rinker both went 3-0 in singles, and Lorenzo Capannolo and Michael Coppedge were 3-0 in doubles to lead the Vikings past the Skyhawks.

Liberty 10, Basic 8 — At Basic, Charles Custer went 2-1 in singles play to lift the Patriots past the Wolves.

Ryan Weldon and Logan Green were 3-0 in doubles for Basic.

Coronado 17, Del Sol 1 — At Del Sol, Aaron Egbert went 3-0 in singles, and Casel King was 2-0 in singles as the Cougars routed the Dragons.

Ryland McDermott and Sam Grant teamed to go 2-0 in doubles for Coronado.

Faith Lutheran 14, Adelson School 2 — At Darling Tennis Center, the doubles teams of Ryan Warner and Michael Fiscus, and Mitch Taylor and Marc Beccue each went 3-0 to lead the Crusaders past the Lions.

Adrien Guerin was 2-0 in singles for Adelson School.
