ROUNDUP: James, Pasimio help Clark girls edge Gorman in tiebreaker

Natasha James and Maddie Pasimio each went 3-0 in singles play Tuesday, and Clark’s girls tennis team survived a tiebreaker to nip visiting Bishop Gorman, 10-9.

Sharon Fang was 2-1 in singles for Clark, which won four of the six tiebreaker games after the teams split their 18 regulation sets.

Gorman won eight of the nine doubles points.

Durango 12, Bonanza 6 — At Durango, Claire Melo and Andrea Melo went 3-0 in doubles to lead the Trailblazers past the Bengals.

Katie Moore and Josie Dean were 2-0 in doubles for Durango.

Alison Matlovic went 3-0 in singles for Bonanza.

Spring Valley 14, Sierra Vista 4 — At Sierra Vista, Sierra Weyer went 3-0 in singles to lead the Grizzlies to the victory.

The doubles teams of Sarah Johnson and Laura Estenson, and Nicole Collymore and Cortney Conway went 3-0 in doubles for the Grizzlies.

The Mountain Lions’ Leslie Chan went 2-0 in singles.

Cimarron-Memorial 12, Arbor View 6 — At Arbor View, the doubles teams of Chalon Henderson and Natasha Puckett, Stephanie

Kaplan and Solena Mednicoff, and Taj Sivertsen and Stevie Fox each went 3-0 to lead the Spartans past the Aggies.

Alejandra Portillo and Victoria Portillo each finished 3-0 in singles for Arbor View.

Palo Verde 17, Legacy 1 — At Legacy, Nikki Newell and Andrea Rathbun each went 3-0 in singles to help the Panthers defeat the Longhorns.

The Meadows 17, Shadow Ridge 1 — At Shadow Ridge, Taler Brazell went 3-0 in singles to lead The Meadows in a rout of Shadow Ridge.

Liberty 10, Silverado 9 — At Silverado, Liberty won four of the six tiebreaker sets after the teams split the 18 regulation sets.

Danae Ingwaldson was 3-0 in singles for the Patriots.

Coronado 17, Del Sol 1 — At Del Sol, Lea Cohen and Kayla Tarlton went 3-0 in doubles as the Cougars routed the Dragons.

Mia Lenardo was 2-0 in singles for Coronado.

Rancho 18, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Rancho, Mariah Coleman, Monica Ortiz and Tiffany Grant each went 3-0 in singles to help the Rams sweep the Miners.

The doubles teams of Michelle Elizarras and Joanne Cosio, Jennifer Deng and Charmaine Andes, and Kattie Baez and Nadia Alvarado also went 3-0 for Rancho.

Las Vegas 14, Moapa Valley 4 — At Las Vegas, Val Shively and Selena Torres each went 3-0 in singles to help the Wildcats cruise past the Pirates.

Canyon Springs 18, Chaparral 0 — At Canyon Springs, the Pioneers swept the Cowboys.

Canyon Springs’ doubles teams of Alecs Cook and Cindy Burdasch, Tianna Barnes and Addy Ascencio, and Rebecca Breland and Christian Earl each went 3-0.

Eldorado 18, Desert Pines 0 — At Desert Pines, the Sundevils swept the Jaguars.

Green Valley 15, Foothill 3 — At Green Valley, the Gators breezed past the Falcons.

Faith Lutheran 15, Mojave 3 — At Mojave, the Crusaders routed the Rattlers.

Desert Oasis 12, Western 0 — At Western, the Diamondbacks won by forfeit.

Centennial 12, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, the Bulldogs won by forfeit.
