ROUNDUP: Sapradit’s singles win sends Sundevil girls to playoffs

Raquel Kinney and Wendy Magana won in doubles, and Suesun Sapradit recorded the clinching victory in singles Thursday as Eldorado’s girls tennis team secured fourth place in the Northeast League and a berth in the Sunrise Region playoffs with a 10-8 win over visiting Rancho.
Eldorado (5-3) finished one game ahead of the Rams (4-4) in the Northeast.
With the teams tied at 8-8, Kinney and Magana posted a 6-1 victory in doubles to give the Sundevils a 9-8 lead. Sapradit then won her singles match 6-3 to clinch the team win.
Eldorado’s doubles teams of Maria Guanlao and Alyssa Gabrillo, and Jackie Hernandez and Saira Mendez each went 3-0.
Rancho’s Mariah Coleman and Abony Moore each finished 3-0 in singles.
Centennial 14, Shadow Ridge 4 — At Centennial, Hannah Barnum and Alyza Mijares each went 3-0 in singles as the Bulldogs qualified for the Sunset Region playoffs by downing the Mustangs.
Daryn Frischknecht and Danielle Gordon were 2-0 in doubles for Centennial.
Catherine Cabo and Debra Hogue were 3-0 in doubles for Shadow Ridge.
Canyon Springs 18, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Canyon Springs, Rebecca Breland, Stephanie Giraldo and Cindy Burdasch each went 3-0 in singles as the Pioneers completed Northeast League play at 8-0 with a sweep of the Miners.
Canyon Springs’ doubles teams of Christian Earl and Joy Jones, Alex Cook and Nicole Burdasch, and Tianna Barnes and Deanna Reder all went 3-0.
Desert Pines 10, Moapa Valley 8 — At Moapa Valley, Ramona Miquirray and Elvia Castro each went 3-0 in singles to lead the Jaguars past the Pirates.
The doubles teams of Marianna Crippa and Natalie Rust, and Alyssa O’Toole and Sydney Widdison were 2-1 for Moapa Valley.
Las Vegas 11, Valley 7 — At Valley, Val Shively, Danica Engstrom and Selina Torres each went 3-0 in singles play to lead the Wildcats past the Vikings.
Melissa Kelley and Acamy Menson teamed up to go 3-0 in doubles for Valley.
Spring Valley 13, Desert Oasis 5 — At Desert Oasis, Tiffany Tavares went 3-0 in singles to help the Grizzlies down the Diamondbacks.
Spring Valley’s Michelle Chung and Leimmi Zhang finished 3-0 in doubles.
Desert Oasis’ Lauren Lightfoot went 2-1 in singles, and Jaynie Connor and Cierra Hartman were 2-1 in doubles.
Clark 15, Sierra Vista 3 — At Clark, Carley Chang went 3-0 in singles to lead the Chargers to an easy win over the Mountain Lions.
Pei Wei Zhang was 2-0 in singles for the Chargers. Clark’s doubles teams of Monique Rohani and Hannah Hagen, and Heidi Lim and Ji-Hye Lee each went 2-0.
Bishop Gorman 18, Virgin Valley 0 — At Gorman, Ciera Cortney and Cheryl Ernst went 3-0 in doubles as the Gaels blanked the Bulldogs.
Faith Lutheran 14, Legacy 4 — At Legacy, Nikki Pizzoferrato and Renee Vogel each went 3-0 in singles to help Faith Lutheran top the Longhorns.
Palo Verde 16, Cheyenne 2 — At Cheyenne, Tara Grandison was 2-0 in singles as Palo Verde rolled past the Desert Shields.
The Meadows 16, Arbor View 2 — At Arbor View, Taylor Brazell and Shannon Chen went 3-0 in doubles as the Mustangs downed the Aggies.
Durango 12, Western 0 — At Western, Durango won by forfeit.
