Roundup: Sierra Vista puts away Foothill

Andrada and Ariana Stanciu each went 3-0 in singles play to help Sierra Vista’s girls tennis team to an 11-7 home victory over Foothill on Wednesday afternoon.

Jessica Schneider and Taylore Edwards went 3-0 in doubles for Sierra Vista.

Katherine and Kristel Peralta went 2-1 in doubles for Foothill, as did teammates Emma Grant and Caitlyn Cooks.

Cimarron-Memorial 11, Eldorado 7 — At Eldorado, Amber Calhoun and Aaliyah Hanley each went 2-1 in singles for the Spartans as they knocked off the Sundevils.

Cimarron also received 2-1 performances from its doubles teams of Carol Doty and Karlie Scales, Jasmine Reiter and Olivia Dixon, and Joselyn Gonzalez and Maria Muego.

Devyn Swain went 3-0 in singles for the Sundevils, as did the doubles team of Beverly Aguirre and Sthephany Aguirre.

Liberty 11, Silverado 7 — At Liberty, Anna Pfarrer went 3-0 in singles to lead the Patriots to a win over the Skyhawks.

The doubles team of Morgan Seiler and Kathryn Carder was 3-0 for Silverado.

Coronado 13, Bishop Gorman 5 — At Coronado, the doubles team of Ava Nhaisi and Sidra Wholwend went 2-0 to help the Cougars beat the Gaels.

Paige Furin and Kennedy Buntrock also teamed to go 2-0 for Coroando.

Angelique Friedrich was 3-0 for Gorman.

Faith Lutheran 18, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Faith Lutheran, Courtney Martin and Elyse Dulaine combined to go 2-0 in doubles for the Crusaders in their rout of the Mustangs.

Mira Filiberti went 2-0 in singles for Faith Lutheran.

Las Vegas 10, Legacy 8 — At Legacy, the Wildcats edged the Longhorns.

Italia Jones and Kaleah Alapati each finished 3-0 to lead Legacy.

Durango 16, Chaparral 2 — At Chaparral, the Trailblazers had an easy win over the Cowboys.

Clark 14, Spring Valley 4 — At Clark, Nicole Attallah was 2-1 in singles as the Chargers defeated the Grizzlies.

Centennial 17, Desert Pines 1 — At Desert Pines, the Bulldogs took care of the Jaguars.

Bonanza 12, Cheyenne 0 — At Bonanza, the Bengals won by forfeit.

Del Sol 12, Western 0 — At Western, the Dragons won by forfeit over the Warriors.

Valley 12, Pahrump Valley 0 — At Pahrump Valley, the Vikings won by forfeit over the Trojans.

Palo Verde 12, Rancho 0 — At Palo Verde, the Panthers won by forfeit.
