ROUNDUP: Siu, Chapparral girls edge Miners in tiebreaker

Ginger Siu went 2-1 in singles Wednesday, and Chaparral’s girls tennis team won five of the six tiebreaker games to post a 10-9 home win over Sunrise Mountain.

The doubles teams of Nancy Herrera and Alicia Ramirez, and Ellie Anderson and Yolanda Argulles each went 2-1 for the Cowboys.

Irene Caton was 2-1 in singles for the Miners.

Bonanza 11, Centennial 7 — At Bonanza, Adrienne Millow was 3-0 in singles as the Bengals edged the Bulldogs.

Lauren Smith went 3-0 in singles for Bonanza. Emma Nelson was 2-1 in singles, and Kim Pace and Kayla Sylvester were 2-1 in doubles for the Bengals.

McKay Novak and Danielle Gordon went 3-0 in doubles for Centennial. Savannah Sgro and Jade Novato were 2-1 in doubles, and Michella Albright was 2-1 in singles for the Bulldogs.

Green Valley 11, Valley 7 — At Valley, Josie Legarza and Racquel Holder each went 3-0 in singles to lead the Gators past the Vikings.

Sydney Crosby and Paola Davila were 3-0 in doubles for Green Valley.

Valley’s doubles teams of Olivia Jensen and Stephanie Taing, Soraya Peron and Diondra Dilworth, and Daisy Ramirez and Megan Jones all went 2-1.

Liberty 10, Eldorado 9 — At Liberty, Sina Gebrai went 3-0 in singles and the Patriots won four of the six tiebreaker games to edge the Sundevils.

Yoli Carrillo and Dora Carrillo were 3-0 in doubles to lead Eldorado.

Tech 10, Virgin Valley 9 — At Mesquite, Sydney Bunker was 3-0 in singles, and the Roadrunners took four of the six tiebreaker games to nip the Bulldogs.

Desert Oasis 12, Legacy 6 — At Desert Oasis, Phenix Johnson and Hannah Godfrey went 3-0 in doubles to propel the Diamondbacks past the Longhorns.

Ashlen Dale and Courtney Dale went 2-0 in doubles for Desert Oasis.

Sabrina Friends was 3-0 in singles, and Teppina Kahkonen went 2-1 in singles for Legacy.

Bishop Gorman 15, Cimarron-Memorial 3 — At Cimarron, Chelsea Crovetti and Addie Gardner both went 2-0 in singles play as the Gaels topped the Spartans.

KIm Sanchez was 2-1 in singles for Cimarron.

Foothill 11, Del Sol 7 — At Foothill, Madison Pike and Morgan Hawkins each went 2-0 in singles as the Falcons defeated the Dragons.

Vanessa Parrales and Lauren Penksa teamed to go 2-0 in doubles for Foothill.

Janai McDonald and Alina Marruffo finished 3-0 in doubles for Del Sol.

Rancho 13, Canyon Springs 5 — At Rancho, Alisha White and Diana Sanchez went 3-0 in doubles to help the Rams down the Pioneers.

Charmaine Andres and Jenny Deng also finished 3-0 in doubles for Rancho.

Ma’Jhanae Thomas was 3-0 in singles to lead Canyon Springs.

Las Vegas 11, Silverado 7 — At Silverado, the Wildcats topped the Skyhawks.

Silverado’s Katie Barker was 3-0 in singles, and teammates Ari Monturio and Megan Lopez went 3-0 in doubles.

Palo Verde 18, Spring Valley 0 — At Palo Verde, Nikki Newell and Tiffany Newell each went 2-0 in singles as the Panthers swept the Grizzlies.

Palo Verde’s doubles teams of Kristen Newell and Chloe Henderson, and Britney Khuu and Abby Till each went 2-0.

Coronado 17, Basic 1 — At Basic, Nicole Gardner went 3-0 in singles as the Cougars routed the Wolves.

Olivia Arriola and Tiffany Nguyen went 3-0 in doubles for Coronado.

Desert Pines 10, Boulder City 9 — At Boulder City, the Jaguars edged the Eagles in a tiebreaker.

Adelson School 12, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, the Lions won by forfeit.

Faith Lutheran 12, Mojave 0 — At Darling Tennis Center, the Crusaders won by forfeit.
