ROUNDUP: The Meadows claims No. 1 regional seed with win; Cimarron edges Legacy in tie-breaker

Taylor Brazell, Amanda Brazell and Katya Kulikova each went 3-0 in singles Tuesday as The Meadows’ girls tennis team wrapped up at least a share of first place in the Northwest League with a 12-6 win at Palo Verde.
The Mustangs are assured of being the Northwest’s No. 1 seed in the Sunset Region playoffs, which begin Monday.
Sarah Sanders and Megan Randazzo went 3-0 in doubles for the Panthers. Megan McGuire and Maia Bernick were 2-1 in doubles for Palo Verde.
Cimarron-
Memorial 10, Legacy 9 — At Legacy, Cimarron held off the Longhorns in a tie-breaker.
Cimarron’s doubles teams of Stephanie Kaplan and Solena Mednicoff, and Cassidy Howard and Shelby Bockman each went 2-0.
Danyelle Lizzio and Jami Oltmanns each went 3-0 in singles for Legacy.
Faith Lutheran 10, Centennial 8 — At Faith Lutheran, Nikki Pizzoferrato and Olivia Demarta each went 3-0 in singles to lead the Crusaders past the Bulldogs.
Leslie Giesler and Jordan Sgro went 3-0 in doubles for Centennial.
Shadow Ridge 11, Cheyenne 7 — At Shadow Ridge, Catherine Cabo and Debra Hogue went 2-0 in doubles to lead the Mustangs over the Desert Shields.
Unique Hawkins went 3-0 in singles for Cheyenne.
Coronado 17, Tech 1 — At Coronado, the host Cougars rolled past Tech.
Nicole Gardner was 3-0 in singles for the Cougars, and Coronado’s doubles teams of Mariane Gapultos and Natalie Schibrowsky, Stephanie Viel and Laura Chupinsky, and Allie Sanford and Marlee Allison each went 3-0.
Silverado 10, Green Valley 8 — At Silverado, Nicole Santero and Kristen Santero each went 3-0 in singles as the Skyhawks nipped Green Valley.
Liberty 14, Basic 4 — At Liberty, Valerie Nesenhoener went 3-0 in singles, and Erika De Los Santos and Marlee Moimoi went 3-0 in doubles to lead the Patriots over the Wolves.
Foothill 10, Del Sol 8 — At Foothill, the doubles team of Miranda Crumpler and Samantha Throgmorton went 3-0 to lead the Falcons over the Dragons.
Katie Fischer went 3-0 in singles for Del Sol.
Bishop Gorman 15, Durango 3 — At Gorman, Michaele Sullivan went 3-0 in singles as the Gaels blitzed Durango.
Claire Melo and Andrea Melo went 2-1 in doubles for the Trailblazers.
Spring Valley 10, Bonanza 8 — At Spring Valley, Tiffany Tavares went 3-0 in singles to lead the Grizzlies past the Bengals.
The doubles teams of Leimmi Zhang and Michelle Chung, and Adrianna Flores and Vicki Ma both went 2-1 for Spring Valley.
Alison Matlovic and Ericka Smith each went 2-1 in singles for Bonanza.
Clark 17, Virgin Valley 1 — At Mesquite, Clark rolled past the host Bulldogs.
The Chargers’ doubles teams of Monique Rohani and Hannah Hagar, Zhiyin Qin and Lydia Ran, and Michelle Ou and Vivian Zhan all went 2-0.
Sierra Vista 12, Western 0 — At Sierra Vista, the Mountain Lions won by forfeit.
Arbor View 12, Mojave 6 — At Mojave, Arbor View downed the Rattlers.
