Basic girls, boys defeat Foothill

Tristan Radley won three events Wednesday to help Basic’s girls track team edge host Foothill, 71-70.

Radley won the 200-meter dash in 27.6 seconds and swept the hurdles, winning the 100 hurdles in 16.9 and the 300 hurdles in 48.4.

Foothill’s Kailani Killebrew won the 100 (13.1) and 400 (1 minute, 5.6 seconds), and teammate Tabitha Winward won the shot put (33 feet, 1½ inches) and discus (104-6).

Voelker, Timoth lead Vikings over Rams
At Rancho, Caroline Voelker and Brook Timothy each won two events as Valley defeated theRams, 91-53.

Voelker won the 100 (12.8) and 400 (1:06.4), and Timothy took the 800 (2:39.6) and 1,600 (6:02.04).

Rancho’s Parris McCray won the 200 (26.8), 100 hurdles (15.7) and long jump (16-7).

Aggies top Mountain Lions
At Sierra Vista, Cheyenne Leonard won the 1,600 in 5:17.8 and won the 3,200 to help Arbor View claim a 101-45 victory over Sierra Vista.

Trio helps Gators down Wildcats
At Green Valley, Lindy Eskin, Miranda Bradley and Martina Joyner each won two individual events to help the Gators to a 123-23 win over Las Vegas.

Eskin won the 800 (2:37.14) and 1,600 (5:57.91). Bradley won the 100 hurdles (17.84) and the 300 hurdles (48.57). Joyner took the high jump (4-10) and the long jump (14-4).

Sundevils claim three-team meet
At Eldorado, the Sundevils won three of the four relays and claimed five individual events to win a three-team meet.

Eldorado had 81 1/2 points. Liberty was second with 64 1/2, followed by Calvary Chapel with 22.

Liberty's Ashlie Blake won the shot put (48-7 1/2) and discus (119-0), and teammate Jessica Seel won the 100 hurdles (16.6) and the 300 hurdles (49.3).

Calvary Chapel's Phallen Nelson took the 200 (26.6) and the long jump (14-8) and tied for first in the 100 (12.7).

Johnson wins three events to lift Coronado girls over Dragons
At Coronado, Ashley Johnson won the 100-meter dash (13.07), 100 hurdles (15.71) and 300 hurdles (51.47) Wednesday to power the Cougars past Del Sol 128.33-17.67.
 

BOYS

Sharif, Wolves top Foothill

At Foothill, Elijah Sharif won the high jump (5-7) and long jump (20-2½) to lead Basic to a 95½-50½ victory over the Falcons.

Sharif also placed second in the 100, and Austin Tilley cleared 15-0 in the pole vault for the Wolves.

James Henderson won the 100 (10.9) and 200 (22.2) for Foothill.

Mahamud leads Rancho to victory over Vikings
At Rancho, Naol Mahamud won the 1,600 (4:43.2) and 3,200 (10:36.0) as the Rams beat visting Valley, 65-56.

Valley’s Kennedy Williams won the 100 (10.9) and triple jump (45-3½).

Aggies roll past Mountain Lions
At Sierra Vista, Elijah George and Jordan Eggleston each won two events to help Arbor View to a 134 1/2-11 1/2 win over the Mountain Lions.

George won the shot put (45-11) and discus (135-9), and Eggleston won the 110 hurdles (16.3) and the 300 hurdles (41.1).

Gators edge past Wildcats
At Green Valley, Matt Nelson, Alex Hicks and Tyrell Crosby each won two events to help the Gators to a 78-68 win over Las Vegas.

Nelson took the 800 (2:07.69) and the 110 hurdles (16.45). Hicks won the high jump (6-0) and triple jump (43-9). Crosby won the shot put (46-0) and discus (148-3).

Depth carries Liberty to victory
At Eldorado, Liberty swept the relays and had seven individuals win events en route to a win in a three-team meet.

The Patriots had 112.4 points to easily outdistance Eldorado (56.6) and Calvary Chapel (17).

Eldorado's Eddie Esquivel won the 1,600 (4:40.9) and the 3,200 (10:23.3), and teammate Marvin Williams claimed the high jump (5-6) and triple jump (41-10).

Calvary Chapel's Cameron Murphy won the 200 (22.7) and 400 (50.8).

Wisner, Coronado boys breeze past Dragons
At Coronado, Blake Wisner placed first in the 110-meter hurdles (16.44) and 300 hurdles (42.67) to propel the Cougars over Del Sol 110.3-35.7.
