Boulder City 2013 Boys Track Capsule

BOULDER CITY

Head coach: Joshua Fisher, first season

Returning lettermen: 13

Top athletes: Tanner Imlay (Sr.), Xavier Steel (Jr.), Christian Nilsen (Sr.), Chandler Harkins (Jr.), Jacorey Dixon (Jr.)

Outlook: Fisher takes over a program that returns 13 lettermen, including Steel, who was part of the state-title winning 400-meter relay team and the state runnerup 800 relay team. Steel also took third in the state in the 100.

Nilsen (discus) and Harkins (3,200) both were Southern League champions.

Dixon was second in the state in the 110 hurdles, and Imlay placed third in the state in pole vault.

"We are looking to continue the Boulder City tradition of producing competitive teams, even with the realignment," Fisher said. "We are young with quite a bit of experienced athletes who have competed in big meets.

"We anticipate being one of the top three or four teams in the region and state are looking forward to the challenges we will face with realignment and youth."
