BOYS TRACK: Austin, Durango win three-team meet

Durango’s Leontre Austin won the 100- and 200-meter dashes on Tuesday to lead the Trailblazers to victory in a home tri-meet with 91 points.

Austin won the 100 in 11.1 seconds, and took the 200 in 22.8 seconds.

Spring Valley was second with 52, and Calvary Chapel had 32.

Spring Valley’s Romello Blanton-Wade won the long jump (21 feet, 3 inches) and triple jump (41-9).

Cougars beat Dragons

At Del Sol, Koy Harris won two events and was second in another to lead Coronado to a 102-44 win over the Dragons.

Harris won the 300 hurdles (43.2) and long jump (18-2) and was second in the 110 hurdles.

Donovan Stewart added wins in the 100 (11.3) and 400 (no time) for Coronado.

Panthers cruise in three-team meet

At Palo Verde, Hykeem Massey and Jarod Swafford won two events apiece to lead the Panthers to a win in a tri-meet.

Palo Verde was first with 104 points, followed by Sierra Vista (25) and Spring Mountain (15).

Massey won the 110 hurdles in 17.5 and the high jump in 5-6. Swafford was first in the shot put (41-9) and the discus (141-6).

Andrew Peterson was first in the 200 (21.8) and the long jump (19-5) and ran on Sierra Vista’s victorious 400 and 800 relay teams.

Bulldogs roll past Diamondbacks

At Desert Oasis, George Espino and Anyah Nutter each won twice as Centennial beat the Diamondbacks.

Team scores were not available.

Espino was first in the 800 (1:55.1) and 1,600 (4:43.6). Nutter won the high jump (6-0) and 300 hurdles (40.3).

Aggies blow by Mustangs

At Shadow Ridge, Ivy Dobson, Dakota Jennings and Dorian Williams each won two events to help the Aggies defeat the Mustangs 112-34.

Dobson won the 100 (10.6) and 200 (21.94) for Arbor View, and Jennings swept the throws with a 41-8 mark in the shot put and a 130-1 in the discus. Williams took the 110 hurdles in 14.9 and the 300 hurdles in 40.37 for the Aggies.

Shadow Ridge’s Ronald Sayles won the 400 in 49.83, and Johnathon Blaine took the 1600 in 4:53.80 for the Mustangs.
