BOYS TRACK: Daseler, Garrett win two events apiece to lead Gaels by Bonanza

Robert Daseler and Haskell Garrett each won two individual events Tuesday to help Bishop Gorman’s boys track team to a 75-57 win at Bonanza.
Daseler won the 800-meter run in 2 minutes, 13.46 seconds and the 1,600 in 4:57.79.
Garrett swept the throws, winning the discus with an effort of 147 feet, 4 inches and the shot put with a mark of 46-8.
Bonanza’s Joey Fox won the 100 in 11.94 and was second in the 200.
Foothill downs Canyon Springs
At Foothill, Sean Hamilton won the 200 in 24.31 and took second in the 100 to help the Falcons to a 92-45 victory over Canyon Springs.
Foothill’s Jeron Bodin won the 300 hurdles in 43.42 and was second in the 110 hurdles.
The Pioneers’ Jeremiah Jackson won the triple jump with an effort of 40-9½ and was second in the long jump.
Miners win four-team meet
At Faith Lutheran, LaShawn Tith was second in the 200 and third in the 100, and Sunrise Mountain won two of the four relays to win a four-team meet.
Sunrise Mountain had 75½ points. Clark was second with 67, followed by Virgin Valley with 66½ and Faith Lutheran with 47.
Virgin Valley’s Reid Jensen swept the throws, winning the discus (119-5) and the shot put (43-3¾), and teammate Kai Mitchell won the high jump (5-4) and 300 hurdles (42.75).
Faith Lutheran’s Chase Wood won the 400 (52.0) and 800 (2:03.38).
Silverado defeats Rancho
At Silverado, Bryan Espino, Matthew Arnold and Andrew Pappas each won two individual events to help the Skyhawks to an 85-51 win over Rancho.
Espino won the 800 in 1:59.5 and the 1,600 in 4:48.9. Arnold was first in the long jump (21-0½) and triple jump (44-0½). Pappas took the discus (134-4) and shot put (40-6½).
Rancho’s Roger Ward won the 110 hurdles in 16.2 and the 300 hurdles in 43.7.
