BOYS TRACK: Nikolas Bracken helps Bishop Gorman take down Desert Oasis

Nikolas Bracken won two individual events and ran on a winning relay team to lead Bishop Gorman’s boys track team to a 104-41 home win over Desert Oasis on Tuesday.

Bracken won the 100-meter dash in 10.91 seconds, and took the long jump with a leap of 23 feet, 1 inch. He also ran on the winning 400 relay team.

Saxton Howard won the high jump (5-8) and triple jump (41-6) and was second in the long jump for the Gaels.

Gorman’s Trevor Henry added wins in the 200 (22.4) and 400 (49.73), and teammate Jake Phillips won the 110 hurdles (15.32) and 300 hurdles (42.05).

Desert Oasis’ Spencer White won the 800 in 2:10.59 and also ran on the winning 1,600 relay team. Nick Benham won the shot put (51-8) and was second in the discus for the Diamondbacks.

R.J. McCarter leads Bonanza to victory

At Spring Valley, R.J. McCarter won four events to lead Bonanza to victory in a three-team meet.

McCarter won the 110 hurdles (15.98), 300 hurdles (42.6), high jump (5-10) and long jump (20-10¼) for the Bengals, who had 112 points. Spring Valley was second with 48, and The Meadows had 26.

Brandon Adams added wins in the 1,600 (4:57.23) and 3,200 (10:38.88) for Bonanza. Joey Fox won the 100 (11.3) and was second in the 200, Bryant Troupe won the 200 (23.65) and was second in the 100, and Gregory Hoyes won the shot put (36-7½) and was second in the discus for the Bengals.

The Meadows’ Ian Cook won the 400 (58.04) and 800 (2:16.82).
