BOYS TRACK: Photo finish in 200 highlights Foothill win

Foothill’s boys track team had three runners finish within two-hundredths of a second in the 200-meter dash en route to victory in a three-team home meet on Wednesday.

William Jordan won the race for the Falcons, finishing in 23.96. Ian Hughes was second in 23.97, and Marchaun Norris was third in 23.98. The Flacons finished with 163½ points. Basic was second with 96½, and Laughlin had six.

Foothill’s Devin Cabrales won the long jump with a mark of 18 feet, 10 inches and finished third in the 100 and triple jump.

Basic’s Seth Blackwell won the 400 (52.0) and 3,200 (10:22.25).

Rattlers capture four-team meet

At Western, James Fincher and Jordan McRae each won two events to lead Mojave to victory.

The Rattlers finished with 119 points to beat Western (47), Word of Life (12) and Agassi Prep (4).

Fincher won the 1,600 (5:05.02) and 3,200 (11:21.08), and McRae won the 300 hurdles (45.02) and 800 (2:22.05).

Mojave’s Devon Flowers won the 400 (52.0) and ran on the winning 800 and 1,600 relay teams.

Western’s Kwan Carter won the triple jump (44-0), finished second in the 200 and ran on the winning 400 relay team.
