Clark boys race to victory in three-team meet

Nathanial Tate, Ki’Shaun Loyd and Mucuranyana Amon each won two individual events Tuesday to help Clark’s boys track team defeat Faith Lutheran and Agassi Prep.

The Chargers had 93 points. Faith Lutheran was second with 44, and Agassi Prep had 29.

Tate won the 110 hurdles in 19.1 seconds and the 300 hurdles in 44.2, Loyd took the 100 (11.1) and 200 (23.1), and Amon won the 1,600 (4:52.0) and 3,200 (10:34.1).

The Crusaders’ Matt Rubalcaba won the high jump (5 feet, 10 inches), long jump (20-2) and triple jump (41-6).

Moapa Valley boys run to win
At Overton, Zak Baldwin won the 200 (24.82) and was second in the 100 to lead Moapa Valley (156) to victory over Virgin Valley (101), Lincoln County (56), Pahranagat Valley (26) and Beatty (19).

Virgin Valley’s Tyson Teerlink won the pole vault (14-6) and shot put (38-11½), and teammate Dillon Graves was first in the 110 hurldes (16.89) and high jump (5-8).

Lincoln County’s Devyn Smith won the 100 (11.86) and long jump (19-4).

Harkins, Dixon help Boulder City race past Desert Pines
At Boulder City, Chandler Harkins took first in the 1,600 (4:48.7) and 3,200 (10:48.2) and Jacorey Dixon won the 110 hurdles (16.2) and 300 hurdles (41.7) to lead the Eagles to a 92-54 win over Desert Pines.

Donavin Wright placed first in the high jump (5-10), long jump (19-6¾) and triple jump (40-2¾) for the Jaguars, and teammate Eric Wilkes took the 100 (11.1) and 200 (22.5).

Dean, Rattlers roll
At Western, Jalon Dean won three individual events, and Mojave rolled to a 75-26 win over the Warriors.

Dean won the 110 hurdles (15.7), the 300 hurdles (41.6) and the high jump (6-2).

Mojave’s Tyreek Carter won the 100 (11.0) and 200 (22.8) and teammate Isaiah Hyler was first in the 800 (2:14.2) and 1,600 (4:49.6).
