ROUNDUP: Banks gives Arbor View boys jump on Palo Verde

Darington Banks won three events Tuesday to help Arbor View’s boys track team escape with a narrow victory at Palo Verde.

Arbor View scored 89½ points, topping Palo Verde (83½) and Spring Mountain (10).

Banks won the high jump with a mark of 5 feet, 4 inches, the long jump at 20-6 and the triple jump at 42-11.

Arbor View’s Jordan Miller took the shot put (50-8) and discus (147-0).

Palo Verde’s Courtney Robinson won the 100-meter dash in 11.4 seconds and the 200 in 24.2.

West leads Legacy to victory
At Legacy, Trezarus West won two events to lead the Longhorns to 108½ points and a victory over Cheyenne (53½) and Indian Springs (8).

West took the 110 hurdles (16.0) and 300 hurdles (42.4).

Jackson helps Skyhawks beat Dragons
At Silverado, Ladale Jackson won the 200 (23.5) and 400 (50.2) to help the Skyhawks to an 80-66 victory over Del Sol.

Del Sol’s Evan Weinstock won four events: the 110 hurdles (15.8), 300 hurdles (43.1), high jump (5-10) and long jump (20-9).

Stearns leads Trojans to victory
At Clark, Nick Stearns won the 110 hurdles (15.3) and 300 hurdles (44.7) to lead Pahrump Valley to 91 points and a victory over Clark (66) and Trinity (7).

Clark’s Jacob Naylor won the 1,600 (4:50.3) and 3,200 (10:28.8), and teammate Cheez Garry won the 100 (10.6) and high jump (5-10).
