ROUNDUP: Calvin claims three events as Basic boys nip Foothill

Quan Calvin won three events Tuesday to help Basic’s boys track and field team eke out a 74-72 victory at Foothill.

Calvin won the 100-meter dash in 11.1 seconds, the 200 in 23.2 seconds and the long jump at 21 feet, 1½ inches.

Eldorado wins three-team meet
At Las Vegas, Eldorado won six events on its way to 63½ points and a victory over Rancho (57) and Las Vegas (47½).

Las Vegas’ Antonio Verdugo won the shot put at 48-9 and the discus at 119-11.

Boulder City sweeps Liberty, Del Sol
At Boulder City, Joe Woodbury won the 400 in 56 seconds and the 110 hurdles in 16.1 seconds to help the Eagles capture a three-team meet with 73½ points.

Liberty was second with 57½ points, followed by Del Sol with 55.

Boulder City’s Austyn Hyde took the long jump (18-8 ½) and the triple jump (36-1).

Del Sol’s Colin Smith won the 800 in 2:04 and the 1,600 in 4:32.1
