ROUNDUP: Centennial downs Shadow Ridge in girls track

The Centennial girls track team had four double winners on the way to a 96-49 home win over Northwest League foe Shadow Ridge on Wednesday.

Centennial’s Tatiana Davis won the 110-meter hurdles (19.2 seconds) and triple jump (34 feet, 1½ inches).

Latangie Richard took the 100 (12.8) and long jump (16-1).

Karli Johonnot won the high jump (4-10) and pole vault (9-0).

Takara Shaw took the shot put (33-1) and discus (86-4¼).

The Bulldogs won 13 events.

Coronado topples Green Valley
At Coronado, Michaelanne Laurent and Brooke Ruppert won two events each to lift the Cougars to an 85-61 win over Green Valley.

Laurent won the 800 (2:24.4) and 1,600 (5:23.2), and Ruppert took the 100 (13.2) and 200 (26.9).

Green Valley’s Aja Flippen won the high jump (4-8) and long jump (15-5 ½).

Wharton leads Vikings past Silverado

At Silverado, Valley’s Krystal Wharton won the 100 (13.0) and long jump (14-3) to lead the Vikings to a 96-49 win over Silverado.

Dean, Lindgren win twice for Pahrump
At Pahrump Valley, McKenzie Dean won the 800 (2:33.3) and 1,600 (5:42.8), and Ashley Lindgren took the 200 (27.6) and long jump (14-6) to lead the Trojans to a win in a three-team meet.
 
Pahrump scored 95 points. Durango was second with 64, followed by Desert Oasis with 19.

BOYS

Centennial downs Shadow Ridge
At Centennial, Jerod Cody won the shot put (42-4) and discus (129-4½) to lead the Bulldogs to an 82-59 win over Shadow Ridge.

Gators outlast Coronado
At Coronado, Green Valley’s Julius Kim won the 800 (2:06.9) and 1,600 (4:57.7) to lead the Gators past the Cougars, 83-63.

Coronado’s Jake Krukowski took the 110 hurdles (16.2) and 300 hurdles (42.3).

Balanced Skyhawks beat Valley

At Silverado, a balanced effort led the Skyhawks to a 98-48 victory over Valley.

The only double winner was Valley’s Soloman Belay, who took the 1,600 (4:47.6) and 3,200 (10:43.1).
 
Pahrump Valley edges past Durango in tri-meet
At Pahrump Valley, the host Trojans won three of the four relays to capture a three-team meet.
 
The Trojans had 84 points. Durango was second with 79, followed by Desert Oasis with 20.
