ROUNDUP: Centennial’s boys win distance medley as Las Vegas Track Classic begins

Centennial won the boys distance medley relay, the only varsity event held at the Las Vegas Track Classic at Del Sol on Friday.

The Bulldogs won the event in 10 minutes, 52.23 seconds. Cimarron-Memorial (11:12.9) was second and Shadow Ridge (11:19.1) third.

In the girls distance medley, Benjaman Banneker (Calif.) placed first in 13:25.55. Centennial (13:43.73) was second and Shadow Ridge (13:46.59) third.

The rest of the varsity events will be held Saturday. The meet, which had 1,298 athletes register, continues at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
