ROUNDUP: Collins blazes to win to lead Pioneer boys

Canyon Springs’ Davion Collins soared to a 10.3-second win in the 100-meter dash Wednesday to help the Pioneers boys track team score 84 points and tie host Boulder City in a tri-meet.

Collins also took the 200 (22.0).

Sunrise Mountain finished third with 18 points.

Blake, Wright run Panthers to win
At Overton, Tyrone Blake and Brandon Wright each won two events to lead Palo Verde to 80 points and a victory over Centennial (64) and host Moapa Valley (42).

Blake won the 110 hurdles (16.21) and 300 hurdles (41.93). Wright finished first in the 100 (11.06) and 200 (22.47).

Centennial’s Ryan Forshee won the long jump (18-4) and triple jump (41-9). Teammate Nick Hartle took the 3,200 in 9:46.7.

Quartet leads Patriots to win
At Liberty, Anthony Norris, Al Galan, Colin Schultz and Toure Vashon won two events apiece to lift the host Patriots to an 89-52 win over Del Sol.

Norris took the 110 hurdles (14.0) and 300 hurdles (44.5), and Schultz was first in the 400 (52.6) and 800 (2:07.2).

Galan won the 1,600 (4:50.6) and 3,200 (10:31.1), and Vashon took the long jump (19-1) and triple jump (38-6).

Wildcats top Jaguars, Sundevils
At Las Vegas, the Wildcats swept the relays to finish with 74 points, beating Desert Pines (59) and Eldorado (41).
