ROUNDUP: Coronado boys sneak past Liberty

Jake Krukowski won two events Monday to lead the Coronado boys track team to a 75-71 win over visiting Liberty.

Krukowski took the 110-meter high hurdles (17.5 seconds) and 300 hurdles (42.7).

Liberty’s Eric Cisneros won the shot put (42 feet) and discus (121-7).

Shepard, Bin lead Diamondbacks to win
At Desert Oasis, Alfonsay Bin and Royson Shepard won two events each to lead the host Diamondbacks to victory in a tri-meet.

Desert Oasis scored 72 points, ahead of Clark (59) and Bishop Gorman (25).

Bin won the 110 hurdles (19.28) and 300 hurdles (47.33), and Shepard took the shot put (42 feet 7 inches) and discus (130-6).

Gorman’s Joe Huber won the 100 (11.11) and 200 (22.15).

Chaparral rolls to victory in three-team meet
At Chaparral, the Cowboys swept the relays en route to victory in a three-team meet.

Chaparral had 120 points. Rancho (52) was second and Trinity (12) third.

Carlos Olague won the 110 hurdles (17.1) and pole vault (12-0) and was second in the 300 hurdles (45.8) to lead Chaparral.

Trinity’s Budweiser Hawkins won the long jump (21-4½) and high jump (6-4).

GIRLS

Laurent, Smith lift Cougars to win
At Coronado, Michaelanne Laurent and Jessica Smith won two events each to propel the host Cougars to a 121-25 win over Liberty.

Laurent won the 400 (1:00.3) and 3,200 (11:38.1), and Smith took the shot put (27-5) and discus (89-4).

Liberty’s Carlotta Island won the long jump (15-2) and triple jump (33-4½).

Clark tops Desert Oasis, Gorman
At Desert Oasis, Stephanie Davis won the 100 hurdles (18.54) and 200 (27.35) to lead Clark to a tri-meet victory over Desert Oasis and Bishop Gorman.

Clark scored 85 points, well ahead of Desert Oasis (40) and Gorman (13).

Colon, Campos lead Chaparral to win
At Chaparral, Jessica Colon and Kylee Campos each won two events to lead the Cowboys to victory in a three-team meet.
Chaparral finished with 80 points, followed by Rancho (67) and Trinity (6).

Colon won the 100 hurdles (17.8) and pole vault (6-6). Campos took the shot put (29-1) and high jump (4-6).
