ROUNDUP: Davis propels Valley’s girls past Eldorado

Christina Davis won two events and was part of the winning 800-meter relay team Wednesday to lift Valley’s girls track team to a 95-47 home win over Eldorado.
Davis took the 110 hurdles (18.8 seconds) and 300 hurdles (53.4).
For Eldorado, Claudia Gonzalez won the 1,600 (6:05.9) and 3,200 (13:27.1), and Marissa Small took the high jump (4 feet, 4 inches) and long jump (15-9).

Las Vegas wins three-team meet
At Rancho, Claudia Perez and Breanna Melton each won two events to lead the Wildcats to a first-place finish in a three-team meet.

Perez won the 1,600 (6:02) and 3,200 (13:32.2). Melton took the 110 hurdles (18.9) and 300 hurdles (50.0).
Las Vegas finished with 64 points, followed by Rancho (56) and Moapa Valley (35).
Aisha Momodu led Rancho by winning the 100 (12.6) and 200 (26.4).

Sierra Vista nips Durango
At Durango, Sierra Vista won three of the four relay events to edge the Trailblazers, 72-69.

 
Palo Verde romps at Cimarron
At Cimarron-Memorial, a pair Palo Verde athletes won two events each to help the Panthers beat Cimarron-Memorial, 106½-30½.
