ROUNDUP: Desert Shields pick up road win over Mustangs

Jordan Butler, Marquise Holliday and Jeremie Johnson won two events apiece Monday to lead Cheyenne’s boys track team to an 87-54 win at Shadow Ridge.
 
Butler took the 100-meter dash (10.65 seconds) and 200 (22.0).
 
Holliday won the high jump (5 feet, 10 inches) and long jump (19-9), and Johnson was first in the shot put (43-6) and discus (135-7).

Grizzlies edge Bengals
At Bonanza, Brandon Lopez and Jourdain Jackson each won two as Spring Valley clipped the Bengals, 70½-69½.

 
Lopez took the 100 (11.3) and 200 (22.7), and Jackson won the long jump (18-6) and triple jump (41-8½).
 
Bonanza’s Taylor Adams finished first in the 1,600 (5:04) and 3,200 (11:30.2).

Strong relays propel Cowboys
At Rancho, Chaparral won three of four relays to finish with 92 points, beating Rancho (49) and Trinity (6).

 
Kevin Schlenkert won the 100 (11.1) and was second in the 200 (22.8) for the Cowboys.

Calvin, Darnell lead Basic to win
At Basic, Quanativas Calvin and Jared Darnell each won two events to help Basic (102) to the easy win over Valley (56) and Virgin Valley (27).

 
Calvin won the long jump (21-8½) and high jump (5-10), and Darnell took top honors in the 110 hurdles (16.4) and 300 hurdles (43.1).
