ROUNDUP: Freshmen, Sophomores compete at Northeast meet

Canyon Springs’ Donnell Pumphrey, Chaparral’s Brian Nunn and Eldorado’s Michael Williams highlighted the Freshmen/Sophomore Roundup boys track meet Friday at Desert Pines with two wins apiece.
Pumphrey took the 100-meter dash in 11.4 seconds and the 200 in 23.2.
Nunn won the 400 in 2:22.5 and 1,600 in 5:19.4.
Williams was first in the shot put (39 feet) and discus (107-9).
 
GIRLS
Sunrise Mountain’s Alicia Winchester, Moapa Valley’s Ashley Noto and Canyon Springs’ Jessica Price won two events each Friday to highlight the Freshmen/Sophomore Roundup at Desert Pines.
Winchester won the 200-meter dash (27.5 seconds) and 400 (1:03.7).
Noto took the 100 hurdles (21.5) and 300 hurdles (52.5).
 
Price was first in the shot put (27 feet, 2 inches) and discus (65-2).
