ROUNDUP: Hartle helps Bulldogs to tri-meet win

Nick Hartle won the 1,600-meter run in 4 minutes, 25.4 seconds and the 3,200 in 10:02.6 to lead Centennial’s boys track team to a tri-meet victory Tuesday at Shadow Ridge.

Hartle helped the Bulldogs score 82 points, topping Moapa Valley (63) and the Mustangs (39).

Travis McDonough took the 400 (51.8) and 800 (2:01.4) for Centennial.

Gonzaque, Verdugo lead Wildcats to win
At Rancho, Royce Gonzaque and Antonio Verdugo won two events apiece to lead Las Vegas to victory in a three-team meet.

Gonzaque was first in the 110 hurdles (19.5) and 300 hurdles (47.9), and Verdugo won the shot put (43-7) and discus (118-11) for the

Wildcats, who finished with 81 points. Rancho (55) was second and Sunrise Mountain (36) finished third.

Tavish Fitzgerald won the 200 (23.5) and 400 (51.8) for the Rams.

Balanced Coronado edges Liberty
At Liberty, Coronado won 10 events on the way to a 76-66 victory over Liberty.

Liberty’s Anthony Norris took the 110 hurdles (15.2) and 300 hurdles (43.3), and teammate Jordan Kapeli won the shot put (47-0) and discus (137-9½).

Garner leads Foothill to victory
At Green Valley, Tyrel Garner won two events to help Foothill score 101 points, topping Green Valley (65) and Del Sol (17).

Garner took the high jump (6-2) and long jump (19-6).

Green Valley’s Allen Maddox won the shot put (43-0) and discus (148-4).

Aggies, Crusaders tie
At Faith Lutheran, John Cartier won three events and Ryan Bartholomew two to help the Crusaders to a 57-57 tie against Arbor View, which got three victories from Darington Banks.

Cartier took the 100 (10.9), 200 (22.85) and 400 (51.59), and Bartholomew won the 800 (2:10.29) and 1,600 (4:59.7).

Banks won the high jump (5-8), long jump (20-5) and triple jump (44-0).
