ROUNDUP: Jones, Padgett lead Spartans to boys track victory

Cimarron-Memorial’s Kami Jones and Jordan Padgett each won two events on Monday to lead the Spartans past visiting Faith Lutheran and The Meadows.
The Spartans scored 76½ points, ahead of Faith Lutheran (54½) and The Meadows (16).
Jones took the 100-meter dash (11.3 seconds) and the 400 (52.2). Padgett won the shot put (44 feet, 9 inches) and discus (135-9).
Faith Lutheran’s Ryan Bartholomew won the 800 (2:08.5) and 1,600 (5:11.9), and Nate McMurran took the high jump (5-6) and triple jump (35-8).
Centennial tops Legacy
At Legacy, Centennial’s Nathan Williams won the 1,600 (4:27) and 3,200 (9:59) to lift the Bulldogs past the Longhorns, 98-60.
Jevon Porter led Legacy by winning the 100 (11.2) and 200 (22.9).
Cheyenne downs Mojave
At Cheyenne, Ricky Rideout and Jeremy Johnson each won two field events to lift the Desert Shields to an 80.33-54.67 win over Mojave.
Rideout won the high jump with a height of 5 feet, 10 inches and the long jump (21-5½). Johnson took the shot (40-9) and discus (133-3½).
Mojave’s Kevin James won the 110 hurdles (16.19) and the 300 hurdles (43.6).
Durango wins tri-meet
At Durango, Donovan Lewis won the 400 (51.8) and 800 (2:02) to help the Trailblazers win a three-team meet.
Durango had 95 points. Calvary Chapel had 65 and Bishop Gorman 18.
Calvary Chapel’s Dario Rahming won the long jump (20-3¼) and high jump (6-2). Justin Cox won the 110 hurdles (17.3) and 300 hurdles (46.3) for the Lions.
