Roundup: Jordan Blakely wins three events to lead Foothill past Gators

Jordan Blakely won three events Thursday to lead host Foothill’s boys track team to an 82-64 win over Green Valley.

Blakely won the 100-meter dash in 11.56 seconds, the 200 in 23.99 and the 400 in 53.47.

Justin Meeks was first in the 110 hurdles (16.26) and second in the 300 hurdles for the Falcons. Justin Neubeck won the 1,600 (4:46.78) and was second in the 800, and teammate Jarrad Warren won the 300 hurdles (45.48) and was second in the high jump for Foothill.

Green Valley’s J-Vonni Sanchez won the long jump with an effort of 21 feet, 0½ inches and the triple jump with a mark of 40-5.

Legacy defeats Palo Verde

At Palo Verde, Jeriel Thomas won the 200 and 400 and ran a leg on the winning 400 relay team to lead Legacy to a 77-44 win over Palo Verde on Thursday.

Thomas won the 200 in 22.09 and took the 400 in 47.83.

Romelow Turner, Kyle Nathan and Kenneth Holbert each won one event and finished second in another for the Longhorns.

Turner won the 800 in 2:06.99 and was second in the 1,600. Nathan took the 300 hurdles in 44.26 and was second in the 110 hurdles. Holbert was first in the shot put with an effort of 41-8 and was second in the discus.

Palo Verde’s Brad Jacobson won the discus with a throw of 112-4 and was second in the shot put.

Faith Lutheran rolls to win

At Cimarron-Memorial, Sever Stewart won the 400 (51.9) and 110 hurdles (16.5) to lead Faith Lutheran to victory in a three-team meet.

The Crusaders finished with 124 points, followed by Cimarron (42) and Democracy Prep (3).

Faith Lutheran’s Raymond Millero won the 800 (2:12.5) and was second in the 400, and teammate Elijah Kothe won the high jump (5-4) and was second in the 100.

Cameron McCormick won the discus (109-2) and was second in the shot put for the Crusaders.
