ROUNDUP: Lugo’s throws pace Durango boys in tri-meet win

Mike Lugo won two throwing events to help Durango’s boys track team claim victory in a three-team home meet Wednesday.
 
Lugo took the shot put with a mark of 40 feet, 11 inches, and the discus at 105-9.
 
Durango scored 76½ points, topping Spring Valley (55) and Clark (47½).
 
Spring Valley’s Jahi Cooke won the 110-meter hurdles in 16.7 seconds and the 300 hurdles in 45.5.
 
Clark’s Basabose Bahati took the 1,600 in 4:39.8 and the 3,200 in 10:17.

Gators edge Wolves, Falcons
At Green Valley, the Gators won seven events to edge Basic and Foothill in a tightly contested meet.

Green Valley scored 66 points, edging the Wolves (61) and Falcons (54).
 
Basic’s Chris Bibbs took the 100 in 10.7 and the 200 in 22.0.

Bulldog duo shine in win
At Centennial, Keith Lewis and Nick Hartle won two events apiece to lift the host Bulldogs to victory in a four-team meet.

 
Lewis won the 110 hurdles in 15.0 and the pole vault at 12-6.
 
Hartle took the 400 in 48.4 and the 3,200 in 9:54.1.
 
Centennial won with 140 points, followed by Shadow Ridge (64), Spring Mountain (52) and The Meadows (2).
 
Shadow Ridge’s Kyle Wilson won the 800 in 2:10.9 and the 1,600 in 4:41.6.
 
Fitzgerald, Zinnamon help Miners to victory
At Sunrise Mountain, Tavish Fitzgerald and Fharhaad Zinnamon each won two individual events to lead the Miners to a triangular-meet win.
 
Sunrise Mountain had 72½ points, followed by Del Sol with 57 and Chaparral with 54.
 
Fitzgerald won the 100 in 11.1 and the 200 in 22.8, and ZInnamon took the long jump at 19-11½ and the triple jump at 42-11½.
 
Del Sol's Colin Smith captured the 1,600 in 4:36.4 and the 3,200 in 10:23.
 
Chaparral's Williams Hernandez claimed the shot at 46-1 and discus at 122-0.
