ROUNDUP: Marquez helps Sunrise Mountain boys to win

Daniel Marquez won the 200-meter dash in 23.7 seconds and the 400 in 52.4 on Wednesday to lead Sunrise Mountain’s boys track team to a 76-69 win at Boulder City.

The Eagles’ Jacorey Dixon won the 110 hurdles in 17.0 and the 300 hurdles in 42.8.

Coronado wins three-team meet
At Foothill, James Villarreal swept the throws to help Coronado score 131 points and beat the host Falcons (45) and Spring Mountain (10).

Villareal won the discus with a throw of 117 feet, 2 inches and took the shot with an effort of 48-3½.

Foothill’s Jeremy Purdie took the long jump (19-6) and triple jump (42-7½).

Cowboys roll past Virign Valley
At Chaparral, the Cowboys scored 40 points in the field events en route to the 115-31 victory over Virgin Valley.

William Hernandez won the shot put (53-4½) and discus (148-6), and James Bryant took the high jump (6-4) and long jump (19-2½) to lead Chaparral.

Dillon Graves won the 110 hurdles (17.1) and 300 hurdles (44.4) for the Bulldogs.

Palmore, Trojans win meet
At Pahrump, Billy Palmore won the 100 (11.2), 200 (23.1) and 400 (53.0) to lead the Trojans to victory in a three-team meet.

Pahrump had 118½ points to beat Clark (44½) and Beatty (5).

Pahrump’s Adam Brand won the shot put (40-10) and discus (107-5), and teammate Dominic Musumeci took the long jump (20-0) and triple jump (24-2).

Clark’s Mucuranyana Amon was first in the 1,600 (4:55) and 3,200 (10:40).

Cheyenne downs Western
At Cheyenne, Yah Yah Cason and Kamal Counts each won two individual events to lead the Desert Shields to an 88-23 win over Western.

Cason took the long jump at 19-0 and the triple jump, leaping 41-10.

Counts was first in the 110 hurdles (17.2) and the 300 hurdles (43.3).

Rubalcaba leads Crusaders
At Faith Lutheran, Mark Rubalcaba won the long jump (20-10) and triple jump (41-5) as the Crusaders (99 points) topped Mojave (68) and Indian Springs (5).

Mojave’s Jalon Dean won the 400 (53.21) and high jump (6-0).
