ROUNDUP: Mead’s two wins give Eagles victory over Mountain Lions, Diamondbacks

Indiana Mead won two events Wednesday to lead Boulder City’s girls track team edge Sierra Vista and host Desert Oasis.
Mead took the 200-meter dash (27 seconds) and 400 (1:01.7). She helped the Eagles score 73 points, topping Sierra Vista (71) and Desert Oasis (38).
Sierra Vista’s Tyler Sanders won the high jump (4 feet, 4 inches) and long jump (13-9).

Shadow Ridge uses depth to take meet
At Shadow Ridge, the host school won seven events on the way to 91 points and a victory over Australian Select (75), Faith Lutheran (54) and The Meadows (30).

The Meadows’ Brianna Capanna won the shot put (19-8) and discus (102-9).

Kydd puts spring in Diamondbacks’ step
At Desert Oasis, Nick Kydd won two events to lead the host Diamondbacks to 68 points and a victory over Boulder City (60) and Sierra Vista (57).
Kydd won the 110 hurdles (17.0) and 300 hurdles (43.0).
Boulder City’s Taylor Clifford took the 800 (2:07.5), 1,600 (4:51.9) and 3,200 (10:51.4).

Ducksworth leads Shadow Ridge to victory
At Shadow Ridge, Zachary Ducksworth won the 200 (22.8) and long jump (20-9) to lead the host school to 110 points and a victory over Faith Lutheran (89), Australian Select (33) and The Meadows (23).

Faith Lutheran’s John Cartier took the 100 (10.8) and 400 (49.3), and teammate Paul Morton won the shot put (43-7) and discus (146-0) for the Crusaders.
