ROUNDUP: Spring Mountain, Laughlin win titles at Indian Springs Invitational

Dominic Jones won the 100-meter dash and tied for first in the 200 to help Spring Mountain run away with the boys title Friday at the Indian Springs Invitational.

Jones 100 in 11.11 seconds and tied for first in the 200 (25.18).

The Eagles had a team score of 227. Laughlin was second with 117, followed by Round Mountain with 40.

Spring Mountain swept the relays and took first place in 10 of the 16 contested events.

Laughlin’s Cody McGeshick won the 1,600 (5:12.55) and 3,200 (11:23.6).

In the girls meet, Ariana Hardy won the 200 (29.0) and the long jump with an effort of 16 feet, 1 inch to lead Laughlin to the title.

The Cougars had a team score of 181, exactly 100 points better than second-place Pahranagat Valley (81). Round Mountain (73) was third.

Liberty girls win 5A state track title; tie for boys crown
