ROUNDUP: Staten leads Del Sol girls past Desert Pines

Amanda Staten won three events to lead the Del Sol girls track team to a 100-41 win over visiting Desert Pines on Thursday.
Staten took the 100-meter hurdles in 17.64 seconds, the long jump at 14 feet, 11 inches and the triple jump at 32-6¾.

Four double-winners carry Sundevils to victory
At Chaparral, Eldorado had four double-winners on the way to 86 points and a tri-meet victory over Chaparral (64) and Trinity (6).

Eldorado’s Claudia Gonzalez won the 1,600 (5:58) and 3,200 (13:28.9), Gianna Lafayette the 400 (1:04.5) and discus (105-6), Marissa Small the 200 (28.0) and long jump (16-1) and Ariana Hewing the high jump (4-8) and triple jump (32-3½).
Chaparral’s Jessica Colon won the 100 hurdles (17.7), 300 hurdles (55.7) and pole vault (6-6).

Lucas, Smith spark Coronado
At Foothill, Lauren Lucas and Justine Smith both won multiple events to lift Coronado to a 90-56 win over the Falcons.

Lucas won the 800 (2:38.9), 1,600 (5:53.4) and 3,200 (13:20.4), and Smith took the shot put (29-2¼) and discus (84-4).
Foothill’s Denicia Rush won the 100 (12.4) and triple jump (32-2½), and McCall Sidner took the 100 hurdles (16.6) and long jump (15-3).

Bulldogs take 16 events, win tri-meet
At Centennial, the host Bulldogs won 16 events to roll up 135 points and beat Mojave (34) and The Meadows (11).

Centennial’s Tatiana Davis won the 100 hurdles (18.1), long jump (15-7) and triple jump (34-3).

Warriors edge Diamondbacks
At Western, the Warriors swept the sprints on the way to a 42-39 victory over Desert Oasis.

Mantle, Krowkowski led Coronado past Foothill
At Foothill, Andrew Mantle and Jake Krowkowski won two events each to help Coronado beat the Falcons, 94-47.
Mantle won the 800 (2:12.2) and 1,600 (5:06.2), and Krowkowski took the 110 hurdles (15.9) and 300 hurdles (42.7).

Del Sol sweeps Desert Pines
At Del Sol, the host Dragons won 14 events, including three relays, to rout the Jaguars, 111-30.

Cody leads Bulldogs past Rattlers
At Centennial, Jared Cody won two events to lead the host Bulldogs past Mojave, 111-72.

Cody won the shot put (43-5½) and discus (138-2).
Mojave’s Kevin James took the 110 hurdles (15.6) and 300 hurdles (44.5).

McMurray leads Cowboys to win
At Chaparral, Malcolm McMurray won the 400 (53.7) and long jump (21-11) to lead the host Cowboys to a tri-meet victory.

Chaparral (98) outscored Eldorado (66) and Trinity (12).
Trinity’s Budweiser Hawkins took the 100 (11.3) and high jump (6-2).

Warriors top Desert Oasis
At Western, the Warriors won two of the three contested relays to defeat Desert Oasis, 58-37.
