ROUNDUP: Trio helps Panther girls roll to home win

Kelsi Koch, Jordan Crow and Ashlie Blake each won three events Thursday to lead host Palo Verde’s girls track team to victory in a four-team meet.

The Panthers won with 70 points, followed by Faith Lutheran (58), Cheyenne (42) and Trinity (2).

Koch won the 1,600-meter run in 5 minutes, 49.8 seconds, and the 3,200 in 13:31.4.

Crow took the 100 hurdles in 17.4 seconds and the 300 hurdles in 51.0.

Blake won the shot put at 44 feet, 2½ inches, and the discus at 134-5.

Faith Lutheran’s Joi Goynes won the 100 in 12.3 seconds and the 200 in 26.6. Krystal Onyema took the long jump at 16-5 and the triple jump at 35-5, while Renee Vogel won the high jump at 5-0 and the pole vault at 10-0 for the Crusaders.

Bernard lifts Wildcats to victory
At Desert Pines, Natresha Bernard won the shot put at 34-2 and the discus at 73-0 to lead Las Vegas High to a 54-33 victory.

Heatley, Davis lead Panthers to victory
At Palo Verde, KamBrenn Heatley and Jamar Davis each won two events to lead the host Panthers to 64 points and a victory over Cheyenne (58) and Faith Lutheran (40).

Heatley took the 100 in 11.4 seconds and the 200 in 23.6.

Davis won the 110 hurdles in 16.9 seconds and the 300 hurdles in 43.1.

Gonzaque leads Wildcats to victory
At Desert Pines, Royce Gonzaque won the 110 hurdles in 16.3 seconds and the 300 hurdles in 41.8 to help Las Vegas cruise to a 61-26 victory.
