ROUNDUP: Trio leads Bonanza boys to home win

Diego Lundstrom, Jayveon Taylor and Jaden Nakata each won two events to lead Bonanza’s boys track and field team to a first-place finish in a home meet Tuesday.

Lundstrom won the 110-meter hurdles in 16.5 seconds and the 300 hurdles in 43.8 seconds.

Taylor was first in the 100 in 10.8 seconds and the 200 in 21.7 seconds.

Nakata took the shot put with a throw of 41 feet, 8½ inches, and the discus with a mark of 105-4.

Bonanza scored 120 points, topping Bishop Gorman (77½), Clark (49½) and Indian Springs (7).

Gators top Patriots, Eagles
At Liberty, Green Valley won eight events on its way to 80 points and a victory over Liberty (66) and Boulder City (35).

Liberty’s Jordan Kapeli took the shot put (54-8) and discus (150-8).

Boulder City’s Joe Woodbury won the 110 hurdles and 400.

Panthers dominate Spartans
At Cimarron-Memorial, Palo Verde had four two-event winners on its way to a 98-20 victory over the host Spartans.

Palo Verde’s Nahjee Matlock won the 100 in 10.5 seconds and 200 (21.9 seconds), Thomas Johnson took the 800 (2:09) and 1,600 (4:44), and Stephon Fitzgerald won the 400 (53.4 seconds) and 300 hurdles (41.5 seconds).

Michael Glanz was first in the shot put (39-7) and discus (122-6).

Benham leads Diamonbacks to win
At Desert Oasis, Jacob Benham won two events to help the host Diamondbacks edge Spring Valley, 89-87.

Benham won the shot put at 42-3½, and the discus at 130-6.
 
Mojave wins tri-meet
At Faith Lutheran, Sevaughn Thomas and Terrance Davis each won two events to lead Mojave to the victory with 80 points.

Virgin Valley was second with 63½, with Faith Lutheran third at 38½.

Thomas won the shot put (41-0½) and discus (120-7½), and Davis was first in the long jump (18-10½) and triple jump (38-6½).

Virgin Valley's Jamie Macias also won two events, placing fist in the 100 hurdles (18.1) and 300 hurdles (42.8)
 
Finley, Vikings roll
At Desert Pines, Royce Finley won the long jump (19-11) and triple jump (36-9) to lead Valley to a 101-32 win over the Jaguars.
 
Desert Pines' Allen Vaio won the shot put (42-9½) and discus (113-6).
