ROUNDUP: Triple winner Webb spurs Sundevils’ victory

Eldorado’s Bobby Webb won three events Wednesday to lead the Sundevils to victory in a three-team meet at Desert Pines.

Webb won the 100-meter dash in 10.7 seconds. He also won the 200 (22.6) and 400 (51.3) to help Eldorado finish with 96 points.
Desert Pines (41) was second and Trinity (6) third.

Charles White won the long jump (20 feet, 9 inches) and triple jump (42-11) for the Sundevils.

Ferguson leads Bonanza past Desert Oasis
At Desert Oasis, Franz Ferguson won three events to lead the Bengals past the Diamondbacks, 110-36.

Ferguson won the high jump (5-10), long jump (18-9½) and triple jump (39-4).

Bonanza’s Aaron Simon took the 110 hurdles (15.71) and 300 hurdles (44.13).

Pahrump Valley wins tri-meet
At Clark, Pahrump Valley scored 107 points and won 11 events in a tri-meet victory over Clark (78) and Agassi Prep (3).

Sayles leads Canyon Springs past Las Vegas
At Canyon Springs, James Sayles won three events to help the Pioneers beat Las Vegas, 86-46.

Sayles took the high jump (6-2), long jump (20-11½) and triple jump (44-2½).

Also for Canyon Springs, Gabriel Washington won the 110 hurdles (15.1) and 300 hurdles (41.1).

Las Vegas’ Aaron Adkins won the 800 (1:58) and 1,600 (4:35.3).

GIRLS

Jefferson, Bell lift Jaguars to victory
At Desert Pines, Andrea Jefferson and Rozia Bell each won two events to lead the host Jaguars (81 points) to a win over Eldorado (55) and Trinity (23).

Jefferson won the triple jump (30-6) and shot put (30-6½), and Bell took the 200 (28.4) and long jump (14-9).

Trinity’s Andrea Martinez won the 100 hurdles (21.5) and 400 (1:07.3).

Bengals roll past Diamondbacks
At Desert Oasis, five Bonanza athletes won multiple events in a 95-35 victory over Desert Oasis.

Bonanza’s Alice Pitts won the high jump (5-4), long jump (15-1) and triple jump (31-3), and Shirley Pitts took the 200 (26.12) and 400 (1:01.66).

Also for the Bengals, Sarah Goodsell won the 100 hurdles (19.91) and 300 hurdles (57.68), Amy Davis took the 1,600 (6:14.29) and 3,200 (13:31.5), and Leida Escobar won the shot put (22-7) and discus (54-5).

Pahrump Valley takes tri-meet
At Clark, Pahrump Valley scored 104 points and won 10 events in a tri-meet victory over Clark (79) and Agassi Prep (2).

The Trojans’ McKenzie Dean won the 1,600 (no time) and 3,200 (12:29.9).

Canyon Springs tops Las Vegas
At Canyon Springs, three Pioneers athletes won two events each in an 84-43 victory over Las Vegas.

Canyon Springs’ Jamila Pullum won the 200 (26.8) and 400 (1:01.5), Heather Hollinger captured the 1,600 (5:53) and 3,200 (12:58.3), and Destanae Howerton-Davis took the shot put (41-4) and discus (108-3½).
