ROUNDUP: Warwin wins three events as Bengal girls storm to victory

Louisa Warwin won three events to propel host Bonanza’s girls track and field team to victory in a three-team meet Wednesday.

Bonanza won with 98 points, followed by Durango (40) and Sierra Vista (37).

Warwin won the 100-meter dash in 12.5 seconds, the 200 in 26.2 and the long jump at 16 feet, 0½ inch.

Bonanza’s Emily Adams won the 1,600 in 5:57.8 and the 3,200 in 12:27.5.

Bonanza’s Bree Hammel took the triple jump at 34 feet, 9¾ inches and the high jump at 5-0, and teammate Vasati Fiatoa won the shot put at 34-5 and the discus at 99-7.

Vikings roll past Jaguars
At Valley, Kennedy Wharton, DaNiece Dixon and Jayla Stevenson-Collins won two events apiece to lift the Vikings to a 110-35 win over the Jaguars.

Wharton won the 100 in 12.7 seconds and took the high jump with a mark of 4-10. Dixon claimed the 100 hurdles in 16.6 and the triple jump at 33-3, and Stevenson-Collins added wins in the shot put at 25-11 and discus at 87-11.

Lizbeth Aguilar claimed wins in the 800 (2:35), 1,600 (5:51.6) and 3,200 (12:11.7) for Desert Pines.

Gators win three-team meet
At Foothill, Green Valley won eight events on its way to 89 points and a victory over Foothill (46) and Boulder City (43).

Foothill’s Tyler Taylor won the long jump at 13-2½ and the triple jump at 31-0½.

Wills, Brooks lead Mustangs to win
At Shadow Ridge, Sabriya Brooks and Jessalyn Wills each won two events as the Mustangs downed Cimarron-Memorial, 66.67-50.33.

Brooks won the shot put (28-4) and discus (81-5), and Wills was first in the 100 (12.9) and 200 (26.64).

Trio leads Bengals to victory
At Bonanza, Jayveon Taylor, Robert Rudd and Brandon Knox won two events apiece to lead Bonanza to victory in a three-team meet.

Bonanza won with 93.33 points, topping Durango (66.67) and Sierra Vista (18).

Taylor won the 100 (time unavailable) and 200 in 21.0.

Rudd took the 800 in 2:09.8 and the 1,600 in 4:43.1.

Knox won the 110 hurdles in 15.9 seconds and the 300 hurdles in 42.4.

Nash, Carroll help Vikings top Jaguars
At Valley, Brian Nash and Arphaxad Carroll each won two events to help the Vikings down the Jaguars, 90-53.

Nash won the 110 hurdles in 17.3 seconds, and took the 300 hurdles in 43.9.

Carroll claimed the long jump with a mark of 23-1 and the triple jump at 43-9¾.

Desert Pines’ Allen Vaiao won the shot put at 41-3 and the discus at 123-7.

Harris, Nelson lead Gators to victory
At Foothill, Doug Harris and Matt Nelson won two events each to lead Green Valley to 88 points and a victory over Foothill (66) and Boulder City (32).

Harris took the 800 in 2:04.58 and the 1,600 in 4:36.43.

Nelson won the 110 hurdles in 16.26 and the 300 hurdles in 41.16.

Kamp, Mustangs top Spartans
At Shadow Ridge, Patrik Kamp won two events to lead the Mustangs to a 73-54 win over Cimarron-Memorial.

Kamp was first in the long jump (20-4) and triple jump (42-1).
