TRACK: Arbor View boys win five-team meet

Jared Kimbel and Gabriel Lopez each won two events Thursday as Arbor View’s boys track team rolled victory in a five-team home meet.

Kimbel won the 300-meter hurdles in 45.69 seconds and cleared 5 feet, 10 inches to win the high jump. Lopez won the pole vault (12-0) and long jump (21-3½) for the Aggies, who had 175½ points. Legacy was second with 90, followed by Spring Mountain (53½), Somerset-Losee (19) and Agassi Prep (14).

Legacy’s Jamal Britt won the 100 (10.94) and 200 (22.01).

Aggies win four-team meet

At Arbor View, Kaitlin Gibb and Lesley Romero each won two events, and the Aggies picked up an easy victory over Legacy, Agassi Prep and Somerset-Losee.

Gibb was first in the 100 (12.39) and 100 hurdles (14.43), and Romero won the pole vault (7-6) and long jump (15-9½).

Maranda McGuigan won the 1,600 (5:59.29) and was second in the 800 for the Aggies, who had 177.28 points. Legacy had 36 points to finish second, followed by Agassi Prep (25.71) and Somerset-Losee (13).
