TRACK: Cayon Springs boys, girls win home meet

Jeremiah Jackson-Trotter won the high jump and long jump Tuesday to lift the Canyon Springs boys track team to victory in a three-team home meet.

Jackson Trotter cleared 5 feet, 5 inches in the high jump, and a distance of 23-5 in the long jump to help the Pioneers score 87 team points, ahead of second-place Rancho (37).

Keyon White also won two events for the Pioneers, claiming titles in the 110-meter hurdles (18.3 seconds) and 300 hurdles (46.8). William Jenkins won the shot put (40-5) and discuss (134-8) for Canyon Springs.

On the girls side, Meyani Harris won the shot put (37-4) and discus (97-5) to help the Pioneers score 68 team points and win a three-team home meet. Rancho was second with 45 points.

Alexis Mathis won the 100 hurdles (16.1) and 300 hurdles (45.9) for the Pioneers.
