TRACK: Graziano guides Coronado boys past Sundevils

D.J. Graziano won the long jump and triple jump and was second in the high jump to lead Coronado’s boys track team to a 124-22 win over Eldorado on Monday.
Graziano posted a mark of 20 feet, ½ inch in the long jump, and jumped 41-4½ in the triple jump.
Teammate James Villarreal won the shot put (41-9) and discus (122-1).
Wildcats go the distance, top Pioneers
At Canyon Springs, Las Vegas swept the distance events on the way to a 76-63 win over the Pioneers.
Las Vegas’ Kode Mwirigi won the 800 (2:09.6) and teammates Hector Ortega-Torres (4:56.4) and Miguel Ramirez (10:20.4) took the 1,600 and 3,200, respectively.
Canyon Springs’ Jordan Austin won the long jump (20-9½) and triple jump (45-2½).
Patriots run past Falcons
At Liberty, Brett Hyde won the 110 hurdles in 17.6 and the 300 hurdles in 45.9 to lead the Patriots to a 97-36 win over Foothill.
Wolves down Dragons
At Basic, Jon Scoffield, Elijah Sharif, Noah Pinto and Isaiah Villaros each won two events as the Wolves defeated Del Sol, 95-42.
Scoffield was first in the 100 (11.3) and 400 (51.5), Sharif won the 200 (23.4) and long jump (20-5), Pinto took the 800 (2:07.0) and 3,200 (10:45.0), and Villaros won the 110 hurdles (17.5) and 300 hurdles (44.9).
Trojans win three-team meet
At Pahrump, Billy Palmore, Adam Brand and Dominic Musumeci each won two events as Pahrump Valley rolled past Western and Tonopah.
Palmore won the 100 (11.4) and 200 (23.8), Brand took the shot put (37-11) and discus (126-5), and Musumeci won the long jump (21-8½) and triple jump (42-5¾).
The Trojans finished with 122 points. Western was second at 33, and Tonopah had eight.
