TRACK: Sierra Vista boys, girls top Durango

Jayson Johnson, Frankie Bisacky and Jacob Bourgault each won three events as Durango’s boys track team topped host Sierra Vista 67-54 on Thursday.

Johnson won the 100-meter dash in 11.16 seconds, and was first in the 200 in 22.94.

Bisacky won the 1,600 (4:39.89) and 3,200 (10:51.06), and Bourgault won the 110 hurdles (16.18) and 300 hurdles (43.97).

Sierra Vista’s Devon Faison won the shot put with a throw of 40 feet, 9½ inches and finished second in the discus.

GIRLS

Sierra Vista won all but two events and rolled to a 95-23 home win over Durango.

Audra Billingsley, Audrey Dayton, Baileigh Sundin, Cassidy Land and Aryana Piquette each won one event and placed second in another to lead the Mountain Lions.

Billingsley won the 1,600 (5:57.03) and was second in the 3,200. Audrey Dayton won the 300 hurdles (48.06) and was second in the ling jump.

Sundin took the 3,200 (13:14.14) and was second in the 1,600. Land won the 800 (2:57.7) and finished second in the 200.

Aryana Piquette placed first in the shot put (30-6) and was second in the discus

Durango’s Deszarai Bellender won the 100 (12.57) and 200 (27.22).
