Head coach: Frank Messina, second season

Top athletes: Marissa Suan (Sr.), Shakiya Hollis (Jr.)

Outlook: Suan should be among the leaders in the distance events, and Hollis should be one of the team’s top throwers.

The Panthers, though, are young and will need inexperienced athletes to learn quickly.

“As many (newcomers) find their niche, the program should flourish,” Messina said. “We expect our athletes to compete with intensity at many competitions as we progress toward region and state.”
