Coronado 2013 Girls Track Capsule

Head coach: Nic Bolken, 12th season

Returning letter winners: 20

Top athletes: Shaye'e Swaine (Sr.), Sara Dort (Jr.), Logan Lucas (Jr.), Taylor Lauten (Jr.), Kristen Morrill (Sr.), Morgan Mavroudis (Jr.), Ali Hauk (Jr.), Melissa Stoop (Sr.)

Outlook: Dort won Sunrise Region titles in the 800, 1600 and 3200 and was part of a region winning 3200 relay team that returns intact.

Swaine won a region title in the 400, and Lucas was the runnerup to Dort in the 1600.

With 20 letter winners back, the Cougars are set up to succeed.

"Our focus this year is on individual improvement," Bolken said. "We want each and every girl working as hard as possible each and every day of the season.

"We know that each of our girls has great potential to improve, and if they do, they will be very successful. We are setting the bar high and not allowing ourselves to relax."
