Girls roundup: Emily Wickens leads Coronado to win

Emily Wickens won two events and ran on a winning relay on Wednesday to lead Coronado to a 94-51 win over visiting Liberty.
Wickens won the 200-meter dash in 28.02 seconds, took the 100 hurdles in 16.76 and ran on the winning 800 relay team.
Claire Rawlins won the 1,600 (5:48.06), ran on the winning 1,600 relay team and placed second in the 400 for Coronado, and teammate Reagan Raimer won the 300 hurdles (49.56) and ran on the winning 800 and 1,600 relay teams.
Liberty’s Gabby Carson cleared 12 feet, 9 inches to win the pole vault and had a mark of 15-8 to take the long jump. Athiya Iese swept the throws for the Patriots, winning the shot put with a mark of 36-11 and the discus with a throw of 128-6.
Arbor View wins four-team meet
At Arbor View, Madison Eckert, Kennedy Trotter-Penn and Dayanara Trujillo each won two individual events to help the Aggies roll to a victory in a four-team meet.
Arbor View finished with 174 points. Cimarron-Memorial was second with 51, followed by The Meadows with 13 and Indian Springs with 8.
Eckert swept the hurdles, winning the 100 in 18.3 and the 300 in 50.5. She also ran a leg on the winning 800 relay team.
Trotter-Penn claimed first in the triple jump with a mark of 31-1¾ and in the high jump by clearing 4-2, and Trujillo won both the shot put (27-2) and discus (101-11).
Makayla Rucks won the long jump (13-8½) and was second in the triple jump for Arbor View, and teammate Elaine Bruestle won the 1,600 (5:39.7) and was second in the 400.
