Girls roundup: Karley Brandt, Mel Siaki help Desert Oasis field a winner in tri-meet

Karley Brandt and Mel Siaki each won two field events Thursday to lead Desert Oasis’ girls track team to victory in a triangular meet at Durango.
Brandt cleared 4 feet, 6 inches to win the high jump and had a mark of 30-1 to win the triple jump. She also finished second in the long jump.
Siaki threw 112-5 to take the discus and won the shot put with an effort of 27-1.
Desert Oasis finished with 120 points. Durango was second with 40, followed by Calvary Chapel with 16.
The Diamondbacks’ Endya Scott tied teammate Aayzia Dumas for first in the 100-meter dash in 13.2 seconds and ran a leg on the winning 400 and 800 relay teams.
Durango’s Ajana Cressey swept the hurdles, winning the 100 high hurdles in 16.9 and the 300 low hurdles in 51.1.
Calvary Chapel’s Maddie Davy won the 1,600 in 6:10 and the 3,200 in 13:41.7.
Bonanza wins home meet
At Bonanza, Zowie Manuma and Maysan Raleigh each won two field events to lead the Bengals to the victory in a three-team meet.
Manuma won the shot put (34-11) and discus (98-9), and Raleigh was first in the high jump (4-6) and triple jump (32-6). Raleigh also placed third in the long jump.
Michelle Troncoso won the 100 hurdles (22.42) and was second in the 300 hurdles for Bonanza, which finished with 81 points to beat Clark (55) and Democracy Prep (13).
Clark’s Dejana Chapman won the long jump (15-7) and 300 hurdles (50.16).
