GIRLS TRACK: Duo helps Del Sol top Basic

Ingrid Zarate-Albarran and Jazmyne Pascual each won two events Tuesday to lead Del Sol’s girls track team to a 79-63 home win over Basic.

Zarate-Albarran won the 800-meter run in 2 minutes, 44 seconds, and took the 1,600 in 5:53.1.

Pascual threw the shot put 33 feet, 5½ inches to place first, and won the discus with a mark of 104-11.

Basic’s Tristan Radley won the 100 hurdles (14.9) and 300 hurdles (51.2) and was second in the 200.

Vikings top Skyhawks

At Valley, Esmeralda Tenorio, Brooke Timothy and Eimainei Thomas-Palmer each won two events as the Vikings beat Silverado, 91-49.

Tenorio was first in the 100 (12.9) and the 300 hurdles (48.8), Timothy won the 800 (2:38.6) and 1,600 (5:56.8) and Thomas-Palmer took the high jump (4-8) and triple jump (34-11½).

Wildcats edge Pioneers

At Las Vegas, Tavaija Bennett and Sharon Ortega-Dominguez won two events apiece to help the Wildcats to a 68-66 victory over Canyon Springs.

Bennett was first in the 100 (12.3) and the 200 (26.7), and Ortega-Dominguez won the 1,600 (6:41.7) and the 3,200 (10:59).

LaKiya Yarber took the 100 hurdles in 15.64 and the 300 hurdles in 47.4 for the Pioneers.

Panthers cruise past Grizzlies

At Spring Valley, Jessica Fields won two events as Palo Verde earned a 125-26 victory over the Grizzlies.

Fields took the 100 hurdles in 16.6 and finished first in the 400 in 1:02.3.

Hauck, Cougars roll

At Eldorado, Ali Hauck won the high jump and triple jump to help Coronado roll to victory over Eldorado and The Meadows.

The Cougars finished with 148½ points to easily beat the Sundevils (20) and the Mustangs (11½).

Hauck cleared 5-0 in the high jump, and had a mark of 32-5 in the triple jump.

Gators roll past Rams

At Rancho, Deborah Olalare won the 100 (12.4) and 200 (26.0) to lead Green Valley to a 90½-28½ victory over the Rams.

Rancho’s Miracle Blalark won the shot put (37-4) and discus (121-2).

Eldorado’s Kathleen Hernandez won the shot put (32-7) and discus (93-6).
