GIRLS TRACK: Hammond helps Aggies to victory over Gaels

Danica Hammond won two events Tuesday to lead Arbor View’s girls track team to an 87-59 road victory over Bishop Gorman.

Hammond won the 100-meter hurdles in 16.84 seconds and cleared 5 feet to win the high jump.

Liberty tops Wildcats

At Liberty, Gabby Carson won four events to help the Patriots to a 98-52 win over Las Vegas.

Carson won the pole vault (11-0), triple jump (32-10½), long jump (15-6) and high jump (4-8).

Sierra Vista wins three-team meet

At Sierra Vista, Bailey Sundin and Audrey Dayton each won two events to help the Mountain Lions to victory in a three-team meet.

Sierra Vista had 88 points. Cheyenne was second with 39, followed by Clark with 27.

Sundin took the 1,600 in 5:58.55 and the 3,200 in 13:26.5. Dayton won the 300 hurdles in 49.99 and the long jump with an effort of 14-9.

Cheyenne’s Koreyl Godbolt won the shot put (35-4) and discus (90-10).

Coronado wins three-team meet

At Coronado, Samantha Bailey won three events to lead the Cougars to victory over Basic and Canyon Springs.

Bailey won the 100 (12.9) and 200 (26.18) and long jump (15-2) for Coronado, which had 110½ points. Basic had 46½, and Canyon Springs had 29.

Logan Linehan won the 300 hurdles (50.93) and high jump (5-0) for the Cougars.
