GIRLS TRACK: Mojave claims three-team meet

Ariyanna Ringgold won the 400-meter dash on Wednesday to help Mojave’s girls track team claim victory in a three-team meet at Western.
Ringgold took the race in 1 minute, 5.3 seconds and also placed second in the 200 for the Rattlers, who had 83 points.
Agassi Prep placed second with 62 points, and Western had 34.
Tuwani Palacio won the 100 hurdles (16.8) and 300 hurdles (53.05), and ran on the winning 400 relay team for the Stars.
Western’s Ana Edith San Juan Agustin won the 1,600 (6:13.0) and 800 (2:48.0) and ran on the winning 3,200 relay team.
Falcons take three-team meet
At Foothill, Frankie Morrill won three events as the Falcons rolled to victory in a three-team meet.
Morrill won the 100 hurdles (16.59), 300 hurdles (48.42) and long jump (16 feet, 4½ inches) for Foothill, which had 179 points. Basic was second with 76, and Laughlin scored eight.
Madison Thielman won the high jump (4-10) for the Falcons. She also placed second in the 300 hurdles and triple jump and was third in the long jump.
Whitley Brow won the triple jump (32-7) and placed second in the 100 and long jump for Foothill.
Basic’s Raquel Chavez won the 1,600 (5:33.97) and 3,200 (12:11.72), and teammate Ogochukwu Immanuela Nwachukwu took the shot put (37-9) and discus (124-8).
