GIRLS TRACK: Silverado’s Fisher, Norris each win two events

Teah Fisher and Amari Norris each won two events Wednesday as Silverado edged host Rancho 74-63 in girls track.

Fisher jumped 14 feet, 8 inches in the long jump and 33-2 in the triple jump. Norris won the 100-meter hurdles in 15.24, and took the high jump with a mark of 5-2.

Rancho’s Miracle Blalark won the shot put (33-9½) and discus (113-7).

Bradley leads Gators to win

At Canyon Springs, Miranda Bradley swept the hurdles as Green Valley topped the Pioneers and Indian Springs.

Bradley won the 100 hurdles in 17.4 and the 300 hurdles in 46.9 for Green Valley, which had 94.3 points. Canyon Springs was second with 84.1, and Indian Springs had 3.5.

Canyon Springs’ Mia Russell won the 100 (12.2), 200 (25.1) and long jump (15-9).

Austin, Vanek lead Falcons

At Eldorado, Foothill’s Verondrea Austin and Alyse Vanek won two events apiece as the Falcons dominated Eldorado, 110-32.

Austin won the 100 (11.8) and the 200 (25.0). Vanek won the 1,600 (5:55.0) and 3,200 (12:40.0).

Eldorado’s Stefani Freeman won the long jump (13-7¾) and the triple jump (29-6¾).

Dixon, Vikings beat Wildcats

At Las Vegas, DaNiece Dixon won the 100-meter hurdles (15.5), the long jump (15-11) and the triple jump (32-3) to help Valley to a 106-39 victory over the Wildcats.

Kennedy Wharton and Jayla Stevenson-Collins each won two events for the Wildcats. Wharton crossed first in the 100 (12.6) and also took the high jump with a mark of 4-8.

Stevenson-Collins swept the throws, winning the shot put in 31-2½ and the discus in 108-5.

Mountain Lions win three-team meet

At Sierra Vista, the Mountain Lions took three of four relays to edge visiting Spring Valley, 77-74.

The Meadows finished third with 19.

The Meadows Dani Chami won the pole vault (8-6) and long jump (15-5½).

Patriots top Dragons

At Del Sol, Liberty’s Ashlie Blake started the season on a strong note, winning the shot put with a toss of 50 feet, and the discus with a mark of 149-2 as the Patriots beat the Dragons, 93-47.

Jessica Seel won the 100 hurdles (16.2) and 300 hurdles (48.9) for Liberty. Gifty Nkansah took the 100 (12.4) and 200 (27.2) for the Patriots.

Boulder City takes four-team meet

At Clark, Whitney Barlow took the 300 hurdles in 50.8 and the shot put with an effort of 30-11½ to help Boulder City win a four-team meet.

The Eagles, who won five of the six field events, had 86½ points. Clark was second with 80½, and Cheyenne took third with 60.

Cheyenne’s Bria Buchanan won the 100 in 12.9 and the 200 in 26.2.
